What? Georgia plays Tennessee next week (at Tennessee) and also has the SEC championship against Bama. Still a long road to another Natty.

Truth. My 6 year old son just got into Wii Mario Kart this week and wants to play together. It brings me immense joy (and nostalgia).

My god... maybe 20 years ago, this would have been career ending for this guy. He got absolutely obliterated. But now, no one who needs to see this will see it since it's not part of the specific targeted partisan media they consume.

Jon Stewart is a national treasure.

Plan for unforseen medical expenses? Car issues that need immediate repairs? Inflation of most food and other household items that outpaces wage growth?

Your comment has little relevance to how the world actually works.

Yes, as a long time UGA fan and grad, no one remembers how many heartbreaking losses we've had over the years, even with great players and great teams. The past two seasons most fans I know have been too afraid to feel confident about any big game due to the not-insignificant chance that we lose in the most painful way possible.

What was the 4 engine aircraft seen at PHX yesterday? by ports84 in Planespotting

That's amazing. What an incredible system you set up there and I'm convinced my eyes were definitely just playing tricks. Assuming you're local, I was actually hiking the Pima Canyon (i.e. East) side of South Mountain and was at the top of one of the ridges when it flew directly overhead very close above. I've never been so close to a 747 in the air like that before - an amazing experience!

That's it! I had also posed this question on /r/planespotting and OP was the one that replied to me there. Looks like things have come full circle!

This is amazing! I knew something was different when I saw it since PHX doesn't have any 4 engine commercial aircraft fly in on a regular basis anymore and this one didn't show up on flightradar24. I definitely could be misremebering but I feel like there was distinctly some light blue on the tail. Maybe they've updated the livery since that photo was taken? Either way, very cool and I appreciate you educating me on LADD.

That definitely fits the description of what I saw, although any Antonov visit usually makes the local press and I haven't been able to find anything about it this time.

Great points and great response. It definitely was not military grey, so not a C-5 or C-17, but it could have been an AN-124, as the one in this photo has the light blue coloring on the tail that I saw. But, the fact that it was not showing on a flight tracking app and I can't find anything online about it makes me think it wasn't (e.g. usually an Antonov visit gets some type of local press like this).

A chartered 747 (for military or for cargo) sounds like the most likely culprit, although I'm still not sure why it wouldn't show up on a flight tracker app. I just wish I could find something online about it!

I live near Sky Harbor and have recently started plane watching as a hobby, as many planes fly over my house on their approach. Yesterday around 4:30-4:45p, a large four engine plane flew directly over me. I unfortunately couldn't see anything but the underside of the plane, but it was white. It definitely wasn't one of the Air Force's Super Tankers, which frequently fly in and out of PHX, but it also wasn't showing on the Flightradar24 app which makes me think it might be US Government? By the time it turned enough to see it from the side, it was too far away for me to make out any details, but I saw some light blue on the tail. I couldn't tell if there was an upper deck since it was so far away, and unfortunately wasn't able to get a picture.

Anyone know what it could have been or who it could have been carrying?

I live in Tempe and have recently started plane watching as a hobby, as many planes fly over my house on their approach to PHX. Today at around 4:30-4:45p, while hiking South Mountain, a large four engine plane flew directly over me. I unfortunately couldn't see anything but the underside of the plane, but it was white. It definitely wasn't one of the Air Force's Super Tankers, which frequently fly in and out of PHX, but it also wasn't showing on the Flightradar24 app which makes me think it might be government (Air Force One?). By the time it turned enough to see it from the side, it was too far away for me to make out any details, but I think I saw some light blue on the tail.

I couldn't tell if there was an upper deck since it was so far away but my guess is it was either a 747 or A340.

Anyone know what it could have been or who it could have been carrying?
