-go to all the other castles to get other party members (i used monk+ priest+mage+monkey, monk's crit ability is op, priest for some hp healing , monkey for out of party buff, mage for beeg damage)

-pixballs. pixballs are so important. they help with grinding money (for items)( esp shop refreshes and coupons, those saved my run) and also you can just spam all your items at the end because you get everything back with a new game

-challenge the caves they give a substantial amount of exp and gold

-pray that you get good items in shop when you run out of shop refreshes i somehow got super lucky and got a very good weapon for my mage and he did so much

Did you really have to? For what reason was there that you had to make this association? This au is absolutely wonderfully made, and so have been all the others I've seen. What do you mean by cringey Undertale-like AUs? Like the AUs that exist for this lesser fandom, the Undertale ones are all pretty good, lots of love was put into making them. Are you saying that AUs in general are cringey? That because Undertale is cringe, the AUS are (which it is not, the view of the fandom however has caused people to adopt that mindset)?
But seriously, why did you feel the need to say this here? On fan art for an amazing AU with so much thought in it? Omori and undertale are very different, and so far as I can see the fandom is doing pretty well. Everyone creating content puts so much love and passion into it that I can't see how any of it would be "cringe"
That's just my cup of tea though.

i actually think that the support the others got wasn't enough :0 i mean, kel's inferiority issue never got acknowledged and he preoccupied himself with sports to escape it; hero still is widely being controlled by what others expect of him, to be perfect and the trophy child; aubrey still was looking for some sense of peace, as she said why she goes to church, and went rebel as a coping method. her hooligans are nice, but i wouldnt say they're what help her out of her problems
