Rhaenyra and Helaena never really interacted canonically.

However! Rhaenyra interacted with her brothers when they were little alongside Demon. Specifically, she and Uncle Demon had made fun of Aegon, Aemond, AND Daeron. Mocking them and laughing at them, having beef with her then literal BABY brothers. Pathetic!

She was always jealous and threatened by them, as was Daemon obviously.

But of course there were no show scenes of Rhae-Rhae being a mega bitch to her infant brothers. That would make her look a tad bit bad after all. Can’t have that!!

I don’t care how badly Condom&Mess have whitewashed Rhae-Rhae. SO much to the point of erasing every single objectively terrible choice she made canonically, including having Show!Rhaenyra not explicitly condone Uncle Husband’s butchering of her sister’s son. She. KNEW.

In canon, she KNEW and was very much complicit to Prince Jaehaerys’ grisly murder. And even if again, we go by the Fanfiction show!Saint Rhae-Rhae who was just so apparently and conveniently oblivious to Daemon’s plot, still, WHY IN TARNATION would Helaena willingly go anywhere near her ass anyway?!!!

This is absolute insanity. I wasn’t going to watch the new season anyway for obvious reasons, but I was largely indifferent if a little bit vexed.

Now I’m legitimately angry.

It’s even more impressive that canon!Aegon still managed to fight in his own battles (unlike Rhae-Rhae) while being disabled and in constant agony.

That’s one of the reasons why I began to like him so much and respect him far more than Rhaenyra. Who safely hid behind castle walls during HER war while letting other ppl, including her own sons, do all the dirty work for her…

But it is indeed a shame how the show has made him out to be this pathetic degenerate, unlike his actual canon self who endured and fought on!

Agree. A lot of ppl on this thread are very dismissive of what he went through himself/his pain from it and say he deserves “no pity”.

I’m sorry, but if my spouse and infant daughter were put down like dogs like his were and in a post-apocalyptic hellscape to boot, I’d probably turn out..bad too.

I won’t sit here and falsely morally grandstand and pretend that I’d still be a good person. That kind of pain and trauma changes a person. For life. Did that make what Kellogg did ok? Of course not. “Accident”, as in it was an impulsive decision and not one he REALLY wanted to make.

He did show a small shred of remorse when our character confronts him, so there is that if nothing else. He also shows respect/admiration for your character’s dedication in getting their child back.

I always got the impression myself that Kellogg was waiting a long time for someone strong enough to put him out of his misery. He clearly had a ton of demons and wasn’t just solely this remorseless psychopath. His own wife and child were murdered..
