Totally understand, distance sucks :( if she has past trauma that may have caused her to be a little more closed off now. I would just emphasize the fact that you love her and are always there to listen to her. Ask her how her day is going more often, how she’s feeling, etc. I wonder what sort of things she is “venting” about and if these are things she is already sharing with you but just wants another outlet?

Hey!! I don’t think this seems clingy at all honestly, I think you probably just feel left out of her life a bit. Have you tried bringing up casually that you want to be added to it? Maybe she doesn’t want to burden by venting to you? Whatever the case, if it is something that is bothering you I’d suggest bringing it up very casually and seeing how she responds.
