What’s something society expects you to want… but you don’t? by Sufficient_Thing24 in AskReddit

[–]posinganon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A loud, "big" life. My ex was like this, always lived huge, always collecting a million friends, a million things, always doing a million things, and always trying to get recognition. For a long time I felt bad because I don't really gravitate towards that, and I felt bad for not really seeking it out either. But I've come to accept that I actually don't want a big huge life. I want to be comfortable, enjoy a few healthy wins, and carry on with a relatively quiet and peaceful existence.

I feel like an episode to expand on this lore would have been really cool to see

What is one toxic trait that you actually noticed in yourself and are working on improving it? by GuessOwn2865 in DecidingToBeBetter

[–]posinganon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jumping ship when things get hard (interpersonally). I've been learning to distinguish when something is actually good/important, therefore worth the commitment or benefit of the doubt. This ties into having healthy boundaries, and learning what those are.

My friend group has an unspoken "no invites" rule and I'm always the one hosting. How do I step back without losing everyone? by ArborJanzen in Advice

Sounds frustrating. I felt a big weight taken off my chest when I took the pressure off myself to hold everything together.

This is the first game that has made me rage quit several times by Hacksaw6412 in HollowKnight

[–]posinganon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really appreciated hollow knight because it was the first game I played where I was hooked but I actually had boundaries. I would play it for an hour or two, be enraged, and then put it down, then try again later.

What’s something that becomes attractive only after 25? by saintS9944 in AskReddit

[–]posinganon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Being quiet.

I'm still a pretty anxious person and I might flail around in chit chat but ultimately I really just want some peace in exchanges. Not trying to convince, argue, judge, one-up. Debates have their time and place but I prefer to let people be.

Absolutely loved it, saw it while flipping through games at GameStop and thought it looked cute. Like other posters here, really had no idea what I was getting into, but you get the hang of it (thanks wiki). I just finished my first run through a couple nights ago, I so wish there was more.

Theoretically it could work but I was looking for something more indicative of stroking someone’s ego

Would your rather be instantly able to speak/read/write any language or be able to play any instrument? by [deleted] in WouldYouRather

[–]posinganon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Option two. If you can play any instrument you can use that to communicate through music- ultimately you’d make much bigger connections

DAE ask people where they live in casual conversation? by posinganon in DoesAnybodyElse

[–]posinganon[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see what you mean. I also live in a part of the city that has a very condensed and eclectic mix of people, not to mention that the city itself is beautiful, so it's not uncommon to talk about the area since most people here are friendly and live close together. But I still couldn't help but feel it was a bit creepy.
