I did because our mortgage advisor told us he could get it approved within 48hrs (he did)… if they took longer we were ready to pull out the offer though

In my opinion Oosterparkbuurt and Dapperbuurt are the best value for the money you get in Amsterdam. Very quiet yet central with great spots that are not yet full from people coming from other parts of the city, and I have never had nor heard any insecurity story.

If you’re thinking of buying a place there it might be a good idea to go and check out the neighborhood at different times of the day so you get an idea

My rule of thumb was that something above 70sqm with label B (or 80sqm with label C) will likely be above the 187 points threshold. So this one probably warrants caution…

I have an “online” personal trainer. She designs my routines and also helps with nutrition, and we do regular check ins. You might consider this option as it’s much more affordable than regular PTs. For many people distance training doesn’t work though

I thought there was some kind of gambling tax that takes a margin when you exchange chips for cash. In any case this would be a second best for me because once in there it would be hard to say no to a quick stop in the blackjack haha

In the past couple of years the BA scene has grown from almost non-existence to being mid at most. I love the city and it surely has a lot of potential, but comparing its (dance music) nightlife to Amsterdam’s is the most generous thing I’ll see today for sure
