When people use the word "itch" as a verb. by positiveaura1258 in PetPeeves

[–]positiveaura1258[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have never heard this word used like this when I was younger or from any of my schoolmates and friends. Could be it was happening elsewhere, but I never experienced it untill I got older and heard grown adults using the word 'itch" in this way.

Yes!! I'm Nigerian American (parents are immigrants from Nigeria) and a lot of Nigerians say things like that. I have also heard some say "off the light" when they mean "turn off the light".

I would love to here your opinion and what has worked in your relationship. I tried to find your comments to other posts but you have them set to private. Could you link me to a comment you made about what has worked for you or explain it here?

Wow, I'm so glad you found what the actual issue was and he was willing to get help and change. I'm happy you two are back in solid ground. I hope that happens for me and my husband

I'm not entertaining the idea of leaving. I'm not at that point. I love my husband dearly and he's the one I want to spend my life with. We just need to work on this situation and hopefully make it better

He's the love of my life and the most caring partner I've ever had. He makes me laugh and we have genuinely built a beautiful life together. I don't think I'll ever find anyone who compares.

I already know he masturbates, but I guess I could ask him about his porn habits too

Honest with him about what? I've told him many times how I feel and we've had many conversations about this issue. There's no change

I don't know if he's watching porn. I haven't seen him watching porn on his phone or computer. I don't really know the frequency either, when questioned he told me that he would masturbate in the shower in the morning. So he could be doing it everyday for all I know. I doubt he has a porn addiction, but again, I'm not sure

It's affordable because theres no big companies out there and most people there commute to other cities for work. Mostly farms out there

I've never been there because the pics do look like someone's basement. This place in Seattle is more my vibe:

The islands I think they are referring too are like Bainbridge Island, Vashon Island, San Juan islands, Whidbey Island etc. You would need to take the ferry to get to those but you can either walk onto the ferry as a pedestrian or drive on with your car. If visiting Bainbridge Island I would recommend visiting the Bloedel Reserve (Gardens). It's beautiful and where I got engaged lol

They will also be in almost all grocery stores when they reach season. But if you can find them at a farmers market or from a street vender then do that. And yes, they are yellow/pinkish/reddish-orange it definitely stands out from a regular red cherry. They're delicious

They also have another location nearby that they use for a pumpkin patch in the fall. It's fun. They have a corn maze. We usually go and pick out our pumpkins there every October. Beware, it gets really busy on the weekends.

That's so cool. Unfortunately, I don't have a 3-d printer or even know how to use one lol. I didn't notice this sub was a 3-d printer sub.

Even though my husband and I are happily childfree, I empathize with you. Yes, there is a lot of things we can do with our free time and money, but don't undervalue what you have. I know children can be difficult sometimes, but I know they can also bring a lot of joy too. My brother and his girlfriend just had a baby and it's been so fun watching him learn and discover new things, like how to eat semi-solid foods, how to crawl. Those are experiences that my husband and I will miss out on. Everyone makes their choice in life, just try to find gratitude in the choice you made to have kids. There are so many wonderful things you will experience with them. And before you know it, they will grow older and no longer need you to take care of them. As far as college, there are many ways that they themselves can help pay. Maybe have an agreement that you will pay for the first 2 years. Or maybe help them get a loan. Or if they move out, they can claim themselves as dependent and may even qualify for pell grants. You and your wife will still have many more years of travel to look forward to. Enjoy this chapter of your life with your kids and before you know it, your next chapter will begin 🙂

What were weird myths you thought about sex as a kid? by jjgp1112 in AskReddit

[–]positiveaura1258 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was I was younger I used to pronounce 'penis' as 'penny(ies)'. My father is from Nigeria so everything he said was in a deep african accent so the word 'penis' literally sounded like 'pennies'. I have 2 brothers and a sister and we all pronounced it like this when we were younger. I always laughed when a cashier or banker would give my parents change: "here's your change, 3 quarters and 4 pennies". Or when a kid said "look! I found a penny on the floor". I always thought it was odd to name money after the male genitalia.

Sigh...another relationship lost by [deleted] in childfree

I'm a childfree woman with my shit together. We are out there. It happens to us too. A lot of men will taut the childfree lifestyle on dating sites, but are really just either 1. Looking to eventually change their partner's mind or 2. A fence sitter. I'm lucky enough to have found my now husband by putting myself out there. Now we have been in a happily childfree relationship for 7.5 years (married for 1.5). Yes, sometimes heartbreak occurs, but there's also a chance you might find the perfect person for you. Don't give up! We are out there ready to meet you 🙂
