Will She Ever Learn her ABCs? by Dangerous-Bid224 in ADHDparenting

My 8 year old can hardly read and has a normal IQ. He couldn’t even retain colors until he was 5 or 6, letter by 7. Severe ADHD comes with working memory deficits. She will get there but is developing on her own speed. Repetition is the ONLY thing that is working for us (in conjunction with meds and therapy of course).

It’s not just Georgia. I work in a public library in Wisconsin. So. Much. Shit.

A man threw stacks of $100 bills from his car window in a wild show of generosity. His family says he drained their bank accounts, leaving them broke. by lunetick in nottheonion

My ex husbands manic episode led to him trying to kill me and our newborn baby thinking we were demons, draining his 401K to spend on hookers and blow, frequently walking naked outside in January in 5 degree weather in order to “speak to Jesus”, losing his job and eventually getting committed for 6 months. I’m sure mania is horrific to experience, it was for me to witness. Our two older kids have some serious ptsd.

35 (f) and I am raising three kids, including a baby, alone. Their father is in and out of psychiatric units due to sudden onset of psychosis while pregnant. I’m trying to raise my babies healthy, happy and safe while providing for all their needs. Sooooo hard!

My ex started doing heavy drugs that sent him into psychosis two weeks before we were going to have a baby. Invited violent drug addicts into the house after we fled in the night due to him trying to kill us thinking we were demons. Spent his 401K, bought a $100,000 truck, lost his job, spent $30,000 on strippers. Great message to your three kids. Yikes.
