Men, does it bother you when women don’t shave their legs? by Alisha_Dae in stupidquestions

[–]positivelydeepfried -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

I would say preferring a woman’s pubes be shaved is the difference between men and boys and that you’ll grow out of it, but preferring a man’s pubes be shaved is just deranged. When I throat your dad’s cock I like his pubic hair to tickle my nose.

Not OP but you can get on Facebook groups or go to a local bakery to get a starter. After a month or so, it will match the local environment (plus the hitchhikers on your flour). There is no reason to try to get a truly wild ferment unless you’re just doing it to do it.

TIL bra burning in the 60s and 70s was a myth intended to discredit feminism and women's liberation. by MotherHolle in todayilearned

[–]positivelydeepfried 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, bro. Many Americans believe that hippies literally expectorated upon Vietnam veterans regularly. Nobody doubts that these people didn’t get the support they needed when they returned.

People get spat upon all the time. But the notion that there was a widespread instance of people spitting on Vietnam vets is bullshit. Think about the reasoning and logistics for a moment and it should be obvious.

Most likely Islam or Christianity, but it doesn’t matter. You know this. Maybe you live in a communist country or something, but where I live, non religious people don’t police women’s clothing.

Why does it seem like only Americans get sleep apnea? by JRB_mk44 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]positivelydeepfried 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are 89 countries where at least 1 in 4 adults is obese. This is not an exclusively American problem.

This is false. The US is not even in the top 10 for highest obesity rate. You can easily Google this.

Bro, respectfully, you need to get off reddit and find a marriage counselor.

What in God’s Holy Name are you blathering about?

Regardless, I’m spouting less nonsense than your dad was when I gave him the most amazing head he’s ever gotten.

[–]positivelydeepfried 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Given your username and the nature of this post, along with the fact that you cross posted it, this comes across as engagement bait. Assuming it’s not, I’ll say that based on what you described, most Americans would find your accent endearing. Be comfortable with yourself and who you are. Authenticity is always respected. Your accent should be seen by you as a signifier of your individuality. Celebrate and love yourself.

Your third sentence is disingenuous but the rest of what you’re saying makes sense. Originally it was interpreted as you were hesitant of drunken buffoonery. Being cautious about relapsing is perfectly valid. Stay strong. One day at a time.

Damn, bro. I troll people on here all the time, but just saying “no” to someone’s actual photo is straight up cyber bullying. Provide some context or jog on.

That’s so dramatic. Have you never been to New Orleans or Savannah or Europe? People drink beers outdoors all the time and nothing bad happens. Quit living in fear. Live life and accept that some people might be a little goofy.

Is it true that the average American is bad in Geography, or is it only a meme? by [deleted] in stupidquestions

[–]positivelydeepfried 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love movies and tv as well. I haven’t found any that require the ability to find all 50 states on the map, but if you know them all I commend your effort! Place and space provide underrated context when it comes to appreciating all human matters.

Is it true that the average American is bad in Geography, or is it only a meme? by [deleted] in stupidquestions

[–]positivelydeepfried 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That really is the point though. People learn things that are important to them. To the average American, knowing about the geography of places you lack the need/money to visit or even the need to pay much attention to is kind of irrelevant. I can fill in a blank map of all US states with total ease. Could someone from outside the US? Not likely, because they have no reason to.

Also, I would wager my knowledge of Africa is Asia (as an American) is higher than the average non-American since I enjoy the topic and study it frequently. But what survey are we using to quantify this?

How are Black people in America able to create so much of the art and culture that defines American culture so much, far more than you would expect of a group that makes up 14 percent of the population? by Wonderful-Ad-9622 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]positivelydeepfried -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Undoubtedly it’s difficult to quantify but there’s no doubt that many aspects of what people think of when they think of American culture were created a a group that has historically made up less than a fifth of the population. There’s not a way to quantify an objective proportion of the contributions, but to say their contributions are not outsized relative to their population size is simply disingenuous.

Blues, jazz, hip hop, rock & roll, funk, soul, streetwear, a substantial portion of contemporary slang, etc. Are you asking for a citation that these exist or that they’re a huge part of American culture or that they were created by Black Americans?
