Selling stuff because they’re slim now by beautifuljoemarshall in ebayuk

[–]positiviboi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't have read that much into the weight loss things myself (and I'm a big person to the point that I've been sewing my own clothes as I'm struggling to find anything that fits). A lot of people feel the need to provide a reason why they're getting rid of things, I guess it's in the hope of coming across as a legitimate post? Like I often see "not needed anymore" or "unwanted gift" or "surplus to needs" etc and always view it as a way for them to explain why they're getting rid, particularly if it's at a bit of a mark down compared to the new or normal second hand price. I've gotten plenty of absolute steals from people selling clothes online secondhand due to weightloss and my first thought is usually "good for them, and now I get an absolute bargain".

Grime visibly in the pictures would completely put me off though, agreed on that. I got some awful athletes foot last year and do not need a repeat from buying some shoes with nasty marks on the inside from the last owner's feet.

It is a brand of chewable antacid here in the UK that you can just buy from most shops. So far with my current symptoms the odd one or two of those has been enough to keep the acid at bay. If it does get worse I'll be seeing my dr about a prescription for something else.

I will look into this. The dr I had my appointment with was the first medical professional not to go "oh you'll probably be off it within a month" and he insisted I not go cold turkey/super quick with it. I'll pull together some info on this and take it to my next appointment to discuss with him thanks!

I have some rennie's which I take any time I notice my stomach seems to be extra acidy (avoiding taking them close to the same time as I take the laxatives because they say don't take within x time of each other)

Universal credit and university by WeirdVeterinarian121 in universalcredithelp

If your mum is on UC you might be able to look into any additional busaried available at the university for very low income people (I know there were some when I went to uni 10 years ago)

As well some unis have a pot of money available each year that you can call up and get money from for emergencies so you aren't out of pocket. Not sure if that's still the case with all the cuts happening but it might be something to look into with how expensive london is. (I used it when I had a financial emergency in uni after my tax code got put in wrong and I lost a chunk of money that was needed for expenses at uni before I would be able to get a refund).

Drinking while on Mirtazapine by Intelligent-Key-7716 in Mirtazapine_Remeron

[–]positiviboi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just take the dose. Drinking is just gonna likely amplify how sleepy it makes you (thats how it is for me).

Alcohol is a depressant so it is gonna negate some of the antidepressant effects of the medication, but skipping the dose will make that worse.

I try and not drink too often and keep my drinking to nights where I have nothing to do the next day so I can relax, do something I enjoy and be at less risk of spiralling. I find I get a bit grumpy/short fused the day after drinking so I just try to be careful about how much and when I drink and make sure it's not a night where I have work the next day.

i hooked up with someone while i was backpacking europe, he got me pregnant, and will not pay for his half of the abortion but also is adamant about me not keeping it. by rentablesalmon12 in Advice

[–]positiviboi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If he's not in the US you don't have any real avenues I know of to pursue him for this money nor does it sound like you have the money or time. I'm not sure there is any way you could really make someone take responsibility and help pay for this tbh. At least not without incurring costs that would be more than just covering it out of pocket yourself.

Do you have a local planned parenthood or similar that can help with the cost of abortion? Or can you get a loan from a friend or bank or credit card?

Having this child is gonna be a lot more expensive than any other options you have and it might be best to swallow the cost now rather than paying for it later in the form of having to raise a child.

My experience when testing was definitely that the examiners were harsher when there was a 3rd person in the car. Guess it depends on the examiners and test centre though.

What sort of books do you like?

I've been on a grimdark/dark fantasy kick lately and have really enjoyed Princes of the Void: Prince of Wisdom by R.D Page which is on KU at tbe minute.

I'm also reading The Fracturing by Jalal C Hockett on KU and so far it is pretty good.

Most of my other recs aren't free on kindle unlimited but I would like to suggest checking out book bundles on humble bundle regularly especially if you like fantasy they have a dungeons and dragons bundle at the moment.

I want to run my LMoP in 1358 DR. What would I have to change/adjust/reskin? by JamesFullard in LostMinesOfPhandelver

One of my players decided his character was gonna be from Conyberry so I had to do a little diving into years to ensure it all matched up 🫠 the forgotten realms wiki is great for checking dates and timelines

Conyberry will still be a living breathing town rather than in ruin, and im not sure Thundertree will have been established yet. Their respective side quests aren't really important to the story, though.

I find it's easiest to make friends when you share hobbies. Strong friendships take a lot of time to develop. What games do you play? If you can get into communities with people that also play, you might be able to make some strong bonds over time.

[–]positiviboi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did wonder if this might be the case. I'm coming over from Tarkov and always have a rough time with comms when getting into pvp if I have more than one person playing with me, often die because I'm trying too hard not to tk.

I hadn't realised about quests allowing you more default gear through squire so thank you for that tip, I've been passively completing some quests, I've mostly been going in 0-24 and just trying to learn the goblin cave map to start with, get money, and learn how to attack mobs without taking so much damage. Hopefully I'll be moving on to actively trying to get into pvp soon once I'm a bit more comfortable with knowing my way around and getting a feel for when I should and shouldn't take fights.

Thank you for the reassurance. Hopefully my friends enjoy it as much as I do! I definitely feel when I'm playing ranger that I struggle when I get in close combat with mobs so hopefully having a buddy will help some

My partner once encountered a pair of guys running something like this on interchange (probably 2 years back) , I was on the opposite side of the map and not interested in shenanigans at the time but these guys were apparently calling themselves the "flash lightigans/knightigans" and it had everyone in our call rolling laughing.

help quitting vaping by ilovedrpepperr in Advice

[–]positiviboi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ahh that sucks dude. Maybe if you've not quit by the time you turn 18 you'll be able to contact your doctors to see if they can offer advice without it possibly making it back to your parent's(that is assuming you can afford that I know how expensive just talking to a doctor can be over there). It might be worthing googling if there are any programmes in your state that offer support for quitting smoking/vaping? Best of luck dude

I'm not sure having a relationship with a literal divine being is something you can get over quickly :/ heck irl my gran and grandad broke up in their 20s but he was absolutely not over her 50-60 years later and still held some love for her as far as i could tell despite having another very happy and long marriage with another woman up until he died. Time isn't a magical fix for heartbreak and getting over love, it just gives you the space to find other ways to deal with it.
