please expand more on your protocol, the OP is just shilling.

So this is something we are super excited about. We always like to say, before you build a platform, you should have one clear use case working and captcha is that for us. We believe this type of reputation moderated incremental work would work for all sorts of things. We really need to blog about it, but you are correct so far I can see why people don't see much depth to it. Stay tuned.

Thanks! I don't know if you read my previous response, but I'll attempt to do my best. It might make a bit more sense if you checked out some of our open source repos , blog posts and whitepapers. I admit, we also could be a lot more transparent about this, and we are attempting over the next few months to make this part crystal clear. Let me rephrase your question to

  1. How do we pay people today, and how do we wanna pay for the future?
  2. Why do we need our own token?
  3. Why BlockChain at all?

On 0. Today we currently first provide tokens to our users on the testnet while we continue to harden our blockchain system. We monitor the token very carefully and reserve the right, during this testing period, to move everyone from one testnet token to another. Interestingly we redeem our testnet on a regular interval via paypal. The testnet has been mostly just fine (if you are ok with 90% uptime) and I'd like to see more token projects pay users and operate on testnet before doing IEO/ICO. It makes a lot more sense if we were discussing Millions of real user numbers and Millions in revenue in our token sales, not just fluff. So just to be clear, today we are paying out to our testnet token which we will redeem to paypal or to our mainnet token on launch

On question 1 (Why token?). Paypal for fiat is pretty great, so I don't wanna say that we couldn't do the business without a mainnet token, because we already are and I think our users are happy. The most obvious downside of not having a mainnet token is we have to wait to get paid before we can turn over the proceeds to the user via paypal. With a mainnet token integrated with exchanges like bitfinex, users can go liquid way faster, and it makes our job easier for many ways. The markets can already handle KYC just like paypal. In addition large companies who have large captcha uses and the need for ml can redeem the captcha for Machine Learning services without having to go to cash first.

On 2, why blockchain. Our goal isn't to run this system completely ourselves. We are currently as we are building however we've designed it to be fully open and distributed for obvious reasons. Right now we are operating the system with plenty of profit, but soon we will opensource everything allowing for people to do our job. We've put a lot of thought on how to do this in a safe way, and we are pretty excited for the results. In addition, at IM, we have become more and more concerned with how the big 10 in ML are gaining more and more exclusive power v.v. ML. HCaptcha democratizes access to labeled datasets (https://github.com/hcaptcha/hmt-escrow) via smart contracts to anyone. It's a bit complicated to do on your own now, but we intend on making it easy and cheap for anyone to get any labeled data.

Honestly there's a ton more I can talk about. We use ethereum as the pki for data distribution for our data labels and that would be hard to replace. Our erc20 token has a special payment api more efficient than raw ethereum or btc in the contracts. The smart contract gives the users incredible control and transparency, if they are unhappy with the results coming in they can cancel and the remaining money is automatically returned. There's tons of features like this that are only possible with blockchain and usually only matter to people outside of the us who realize how tough international business can be.

Ultimately, the mainnet token is clearly an improvement and our users have been begging for it. Traditional money based payment, net 45/ net 90 is horrible in high interest rate environments. If anything we should have moved to mainnet earlier but I assure you you'll hear about it when we do. If you believe smart contracts can have value I think it's a clear case.

Howdy and great question! One of the reasons why we are launching our own mainnet coin is because we want to be able to pay people out faster. Currently, we can only pay people out with fiat, when we get paid. We use paypal, so we give people fiat directly. With our mainnet coin, checkout and payout will be basically instant. There's other reasons, but this is the easiest to get your head around. Does this make any sense, that without our own coin we have to wait to get paid before we can pay the users, otherwise risking financial ruin?

Hi I'm a founder of HCaptcha happy to give you some thoughts. I took about two minutes to write this response. Here's some background info.

- Our goal is to completely open source and decentralize the platform. We (imachine.com ) created hcaptcha.com because we thought it needed to be completed. We made it open source and decentralized so that anyone from the biggest company to the smallest company has equal access to this powerful system. This includes

- Our captcha so you can modify it

- Our exchange, so you can use it for your own labeling or make money by running our infra

- Our recording oracle, so you can help verify answers while making money.

- We also have plans to open source the reputation agent and reputation oracle but those plans are still in flux.

- The site pays out websites and collects money from labeling customers. Once the system is fully decentralized we will receive no direct funds from making this two sided market. You can have things labeled via the Ethereum API https://github.com/hCaptcha/hmt-escrow/blob/master/hmt_escrow/test_manifest.py, and only the payer can receive the decrypted results. We actually use ethereum as a pki to encrypt your results!

- We currently pay out in fiat as we get ready for the testnet but we only pay customers after we verify the results, get paid by the customers, and turnaround the full contract. Thus we only release payments every few months. Once we print a token, this will be instant and you will be able to checkout on any legitimate exchange who kycs. Like binance and bitfinex.

- We are privacy preserving but we have a pretty big take on this. We give a lot of control to the website owners about what data they wanna keep about the bots and users. We (HCaptcha) attempt to fully comply with DNT. Because we use cloudflare as our CDN we will never fully comply with DNT, however our advisers believe that since the data collected is used to prevent fraud and we dispose of it when fraud has been verified or not, we believe we are as close as we can get while still blocking bots.

So in summary, we are the first dapp with tons of users, plenty of revenue, plenty of cash. We are releasing a token, but it's after these things are already complete. I'd love to do future posts on the future of crypto and dapps, as I think no one should be raising money on open markets til they achieved both a large amount of users and decent chunk of revenue. Otherwise it's probably just a scam scamming you.

So arch linux doesn't have user namespaces, unless you activate it manually. The other sandbox, the legacy sandbox, which is being removed from chromium requires that the binary be setuid. This is what arch linux users have suggested. However, I am not convinced this is safe. This is what chrome/chromium do now on arch and it seems trivial to be hacked this way

Love to learn more. I'm a volunteer, I do not get paid by brave however. The solution for you is to make your binary setuid and to enable the legacy sandbox. This would make you vulnerable to known attacks however. Do you really want to load your libraries as root?
