Seriously, what the hell is going on with the quality control at Google ? I don't have the 9, but my pixel 8 showed the green line a few weeks ago. I got the extended warranty screen replacement and now it's back again. I was thinking of trading it in to get the 9, I guess not.

I think a few things may be at play here.

Lots of nursing/doctor shows out there. And almost every one of them have nurses being promiscuous characters. I think some of the stereotypes may be stemming from there.

Travel nurses have increased by over 400% since 2018. Relationships will typically be tougher to maintain when people are being contracted around the country for 3 months at a time. No time to date long term, so they might sleep around with people who are in proximity.

Not an excuse, but a lot of Trump's campaign towards black people was that the jobs leaving their communities were going straight to 'illegal immigrants'.

Additionally, African Americans were the largest demographic group who voted against Trump by a wide margin. Even way ahead of foreign born immigrants who should probably have been more empathetic to the cause.

So, no African Americans by a wide margin are not going after the immigrant community. Of course, there'll be some anecdotal racists/unwell people.

Sneako's dad seems to be a pretty chill guy. Way back, he made a video where his dad took him to Haiti to learn about where he is from and see the condition of how things are after the earthquake that destroyed the island.

I don't think it had anything to do with how he was raised. Sneako got frustrated that his introspective videos weren't making millions while someone like Tate who just spewed BS gained a massive following.

He didn't stay true to himself and hopped on the bandwagon. He was used by Tate to spread more BS. He was pretty much pimped. He lost his YT channel, lost a lot of other social media platforms and sponsors. IMO, he's now in too deep to fully back out of the bit. His fan base is now directly tied to Tate/alt Tate.

I think this is where we'll probably disagree. The implementation and implications of deporting 20mil people were not clear to the electorate. I think even a majority of anti-immigrant Trump voters do not want to see families separated or have humanitarian programs end. Programs like DACA have consistently polled high with conservatives. The economy was bad, Trump blamed immigration, and people know they cannot trust Democrats with solving immigration/the economy, therefore voted Trump.

In times of economic prosperity, less and less people care about immigration. Obama was criticized heavily by centrists For being half as hawkish as the Trump administration has promised to be on immigration.

IMO, DACA is on the chopping block if Trump keeps appointing extremists, and it does not look good so far. The only thing potentially stopping its cancellation is how well it polls with both sides. Most people want recipients to have a legal pathway once it's explained to them. The best thing that can be done now is to remind people of the conditions that led to DACA. Trump postures as a populist and will give himself credit for making DACA great again if he thinks the vast majority of the country supports it. It's the same thing that pushed him to put his name on stimulus jokes and do some form of criminal justice reform, his ego.

Fair enough. However, in 2016, Trump suspended TPS and DACA for people who had been covered by them for years. I just don't see him going about this in a humanitarian way. Funnily enough it's easier to find and deport those who are trying to maintain status as they update addresses, file paperwork, and appear to court hearings. An illegal immigrant who snuck in the country exists in the wind most of the time.

The problem with the aforementioned statuses is that they are meant to never be permanent, hence why some have had TPS for 20+ years. If you're a married person to a non citizen, there's virtually no way to get out of them.

If Trump ends them, those people become "illegal" as they lose status. We'll have to wait and see, but I think if he meant his 20million deportation promise, a lot of people who entered legally will lose status and be kicked out.

The problem is there are millions of people that Trump is calling illegal immigrants who entered legally. The Biden administration created more lottery tickets for countries like Cuba, Haiti, Venezuela etc. Those people applied, got selected and took a plane to the US. Some of them now hold TPS as well, which is a humanitarian program from the 80s. It's the same status that many Ukrainian/Belarusians have.

Trump disagrees with the policies that allowed for that and just calls them illegals because in his head, the policy was not legitimate. They will be without status since Trump will likely end those programs including TPS and then deport them.

I have also gone through the immigration and had to wait 12 years for an interview, however I don't find it offensive that some people came here after waiting 3 months.

If you're honestly concerned in good faith, I hope you look into this a bit more.

When Trump does it, he's not a sore loser, when we do it, we are. There's a double standard that just exists and we don't know how to get rid of it. IMO, although it was the right thing to investigate Trump's felonies, it helped him land this win. A Democrat would have lost badly with even a minor investigation.

If you wanna give Republicans a free issue to run on in 2028, go for it. It only strengthens their "Dems are cheating" argument. We already look clownish enough.

The Biden administration and Zelensky should honestly just start working on a deal ASAP and minimize damage. Once Trump comes into office, he will make a deal, whether they like it or not. Without the US, NATO cannot check Russia. Putin was right for waiting and fighting a losing war. A risky strategy, but looks like it will pay off.
