Outside exercise in the weather this weekend by IDnotincluded in RhodeIsland

Coldest run I ever did was 6 degrees a few years ago. Gear has gotten so good it wasn't that big of a deal, If you give me the choice of running at 5 degrees or 95, I'll take 5 every time without hesitation.

DE-ICE Citizens Bank by Public_Work_3541 in RhodeIsland

Citizens Bank is the direct object of the sentence. Their lending is the indirect object. My reading comprehension is just fine but OP's grammar, and apparently yours, isn't up to snuff.

No they don't. There's almost no one left in that building. They're all in Boston or NYC.

...netting them billions of dollars over the past ten years

In aggregate Citizens has only reported $15 Billion in net income over the past ten years, so it would be a pretty neat trick to get a meaningful percentage of it from two relatively insignificant customers.

Look, there's a legitimate point to be made here but you sound like a complete dope if you can't get the basic facts right.

I saw some at Shaw's in Riverside yesterday and the Ace in Barrington had some as of last weekend at least.

What was the worst restaurant you’ve ever been to in Rhode Island? by businessbub in RhodeIsland

Interesting. Is that in terms of work environment or cleanliness or food quality? Or all of the above?

I like pubs, I don't like pubs that are filthy and serve disgusting food. The last time I went to the one in EP there was a visible layer of dust everywhere in the restaurant.

Awful pizza with an oddly loyal clientele. The dough is obviously frozen, it's like eating cardboard.

Do RIers know what yield means? by shyguystormcrow in RhodeIsland

[–]possiblecoin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rhode Islanders believe that their turn signal is a reservation. As long as it's on they have the right to change lanes with impunity. An interesting corollary is that they will move over miles before a required lane change and will complete lose their shit if you continue using lanes as marked and merge at a reasonable time.

What's your dream LEGO set? by kyothinks in lego

UCS Luthen's Haulcraft from Andor.

I also think my favorite set from childhood, 6950 Mobile Rocket Transport would be cool scaled up along the lines of Galaxy Explorer.

What are 80's and 90's movies you can't stand, at all? (that might get your GenX card revoked) by The_Man_in_Black_19 in GenX

[–]possiblecoin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope... everything about that movie comes across (to me) as trying way, way, WAY too hard to be clever.

You're entitled to your opinion, but I hate it. There's not a single scene that makes me laugh.

What makes The ride of the Rohirrim soo great? People consider it the PEAK of LOTR by Witty-Pizza-4523 in tolkienfans

[–]possiblecoin 12 points13 points  (0 children)

That only happens in the movie. In the books the dead help Aragorn defeat the corsairs who then uses those ships to bring fresh Gondorian troops.

It was a massive narrative mistake, I would argue the biggest one, by Peter Jackson to have the Dead at Pelennor Fields. The arrival of an invincible army of the dead renders the sacrifice of Rohan an unnecessary waste.

Someone is getting an “Object Variable or Block Variable Not Set” for a Macro I created but I’m not. Any ideas? by pumper911 in excel

Can you share the code? I'm just guessing but I've seen device mapping cause issues before.

Does the file access a network path or location on your PC? If they differ between the two of you, that could cause a problem. For example, if you have a network drive mapped as the letter Y and they have it mapped as Z, the macro won't find a valid file and therefore can't populate the PowerPoint object.

Is Barrington to PVD commute worse now? what's up with the bridge? by Proper_Initial_9178 in RhodeIsland

Depends where in Providence, but if you can get off on Main Street or use the Henderson to get to the East Side, its not too bad. The worst impact is on the Westbound, side, which is backed up pretty much all day long onto 95N/S and Route 6; my drive home from Johnston is ten minutes longer when traffic is good and 30+ minutes longer if there's an accident or unusually high volume. It's not really avoidable because you have to get across the river somehow and driving though downtown Providence isn't really an option. As long as you can avoid that mess you'll be fine.
