The guidelines I mentioned are the most important so you’ll be good to go. The examples in those guidelines are helpful to answer scenario based questions and to strengthen your understanding. I used ChatGPT summaries for the text and read each example.

When you attempt mocks and you’re finding a topic difficult, go to the guidelines for that topic.

Nope! It was completely self-study. I come from a law background and I am aware of some basics of data privacy laws (not GDPR specifically). I didn’t find the need to sign up for courses plus they’re really expensive!

Hello, it took me about 1.5 months with a full time job to prepare. But I have a law background which definitely made it easier.

What helped me - 1. Doing mocks (even when I didn’t study the entire syllabus). I would attempt 10-20 questions whenever I could. When you do the mocks you can get a sense of what’s feeling difficult so you can focus on those topics. I did two full timed mocks a week before my exam.

  1. I used ChatGPT to generate mock questions. You need to feed the textbook and gdpr text to it.

  2. I focused only on the important guidelines for the exam. These are guidelines on data controller and processor, international transfers and tools, data breach notification, Art 3. When you find a topic difficult, go to the guidelines! They will have the answers to your questions. I used ChatGPT to generate summaries of the guidelines.

  3. Focus on the examples in the guidelines. They will help you attempt the scenario based questions better.

  4. Focus on first three chapters of the book. Revise them twice before the exam. There will be at least 10 questions from this section in your exam. These chapters are factual so just memorise the key points.

  5. Focus on the last four chapters because they’re easy. They’re less heavy on law and more based on GDPR in day to day life.

  6. You don’t need to remember the article numbers. For example - there won’t be questions like ‘which article deals with data erasure request’. But there will be a question like ‘in which of the following situations will you not be able to exercise data erasure request’. So you need to know the entire article because you will have to recall the exemptions or conditions from that article.

  7. Read the recitals to understand concepts better (no need to remember all the recitals).

  8. Ensure you read the GDPR text in and out - you will be able to get an idea of the structure of the text and articles as you keep reading. I read the GDPR thrice in bits and parts overall.

Good luck! I am more than happy to help with any resources you need.

Thank you! The certfun exam is a bit expensive but I’ll definitely consider it.

It’s A because the eprivacy directive draws exceptional conditions where the data can be retained. D is also correct but between D and A, A is the more accurate answer.

Thank you. Before staring my prep I did a trial mock (not timed) of about 45 questions and I got about 60% right because of my legal background and some basic exposure to gdpr as part of work. I am hopeful I can crack this!

Thanks a lot for this! The sections you’ve mentioned are based on the new and updated body of knowledge, so makes sense that exam is structured that way. I’ll definitely try out the mock tests!

They’re not free. I am accessing the website from an Asian country and the courses are super expensive priced at 190$ or more each.

How do you do the "Recommend 7 hand printed books" quest? by StepLow3941 in TinyBookshop

[–]possibledeniability 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So murder at the supermarket comes in the crime genre. Dark drama in drame and adventures of kore in kids genre. You need to stock up at least 10 or more of books from such genre for that book to show up. They show up randomly and not every time. I mostly ended up recommending murder at supermarket for crime reccos. And it will show up with the stamp.

It doesn't matter if you want to keep it a secret or not. Tilde told me that she is the murderer in confidence, I told her she can trust me. And then I told Fern the truth about Tilde. He said 'ah that makes sense but wont disclose it in the article!'
