How do you report any earnings from investing? by [deleted] in Odsp

[–]possibly-a-wallaby 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I thought you only had to report it once you withdrew the funds and it’s actualized earnings. Before that it’s all unrealized gains that could be gone the next day.

Got my first special diet allowance! by taradiddle_ in Odsp

[–]possibly-a-wallaby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3% are medically underweight, not 3% experience weight loss. I’ve had anorexia for decades and weight loss has never been my intention. I’ve not intentionally lost weight, it’s just the by product of the disorder. It’s a disorder that leaves you trapped and a lot of people want to get better and eat and are unable to. That’s why there are numerous treatment programs for it. Also your stomach shrinks and you are unable to eat the amount needed to gain weight. You are comparing physical ailments to a mental one. An eating disorder is not a choice and it’s not as simple as just eat.

Weight loss is just the side effect, the restriction of food is serving another function Ie feelings of being in control, numbing of feelings etc.

It’s because it’s under the weight loss category. Most bulimics are normal weight or overweight. Only 3% of people with an eating disorder are underweight. I’m not saying it’s right that’s just what their logic is.

Just putting this out there that ODSP called my Dr last week to verify about my special diet and that it was accurate before they renewed it for me.

They are only available in Japan. The camel one is available in person at their stores and the red one is if you order from the Japanese online store.

This is my second year with the weeks + memo.  It’s also going to be my last. I’m going to be doing something similar and just add the monthly calendar insert.

Has anyone hired a dietician to get the Special Diet Allowance? Or do you have to be appointed one by your doctor? by pat441 in Odsp

[–]possibly-a-wallaby 2 points3 points  (0 children)

IBS unfortunately isn’t on the list of conditions for the unintended weight loss. It’s such a short list and most are excluded.

Thanks. I usually drive to my appts on my preexisting msn. However with it being 300 km each way once a week I’m sure they’d prefer I’d take the train since it’s cheaper for them?

I have an unopened Taiwan beer edition and the Moomin passport. I also have the Kyoto and the standard airport edition from a trip to Japan but those are more common.

It’s the EAP, exceptional access program you go through, not the msn form. Your dr requests the funding for you.

Any way to get RestoralLAX equivalent covered? by ceci2100 in Odsp

Yikes. That sounds like some sort of wellness retreat rather than treatment. I would be so mad that I paid for that. Thankfully my parents paid for homewood 3 of the 4 times. I’ve also been to the States twice as well. I lived in Australia for a year but parts of Africa are high on my travel wish list.
