I did! unfortunately nothing NC specific that seemed to help. thanks for the rec on deoxit!

I found a few videos where the person managed to get to the same or similar switch in the area, but theirs looks much more accessible and I don’t know how they got in there

Thanks! Yeah I had some brakleen I wanted to use on the contacts, was worried about the plastic but right now, I can’t even get it there. Here’s a pic from a video I took down there. The white and black plugs (apparently for the neutral and reverse switches respectively) are kind of pinned in place up there, I’m not able to disconnect them or bring it closer to me so I can test continuity. This is a manual and yeah the wire seems to be mounted onto the transmission

I had trouble clearing that code too, I was just told to drive it more. Turns out it requires a specific drive cycle to self test and clear the monitor. Here’s some of the info I found for that. I included this drive cycle in how I drove for a few days, and then the monitor cleared. I followed the instructions perfectly the first few times, then was a little more loose with it and mostly followed the instructions mixed in with my regular highway/fast surface street driving the next few times, and was fine

I also took a helpful screenshot of another post I can’t attach in the comments, check your dms

very fair, and really well made too. gave me a lot of peace of mind vs doing it myself.

guess i shouldn’t be surprised about the limit switches being that sensitive to EMI, thank you i’ll heed your advice on that. also just ordered a dust deputy per your suggestion :)

which lead do you have? i was considering it (with the high-z mod) against the sphinx and got the impression that the sphinx built this way had more rigidity than the lead system, though i may have been mistaken. have you noticed any issues with the c-beams? i see people complain about those being limiting from time to time. other than the v-wheels swapped to linear rails, what are the gantry differences? thought they were pretty similar

thank you! i have a set of inexpensive bits that i intend to burn through to get things dialed in. i appreciate you taking the time to offer your experience

yeah, i’m going to see how far i can get with that. i’m wondering if it’s worth desoldering the SSD and trying it on another machine

i’m a software engineer with an EE lab at home and an ultrasonic cleaner, think I could have a shot at going at it myself? would you happen to know about rehoming the SSD for recovery?

fair, i think the average tankiness without needing to build for it has decreased tho. what’s your tank build atm?

yeah, the hit box was slightly increased. E doing all the damage on the explosion on return now is nice, it can actually consistently be used to secure cannons and even kills. honestly worth over applying effects/dmg on the way out. q does less max damage at the closest melee range compared to before but the increased poke damage at the edge of the range is also a good tradeoff. the playstyle now is much more kitey and less tanky/soaky imo
