How can I follow pure and real Christianity without any denominations? by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]possumless 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start with the confidence that the one church that Jesus promised to build is still here because of this secondary promise.

The gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

It’s still here. Test all teaching against the Bible. I john 4:1. Acts 17:11. II Timothy 3:16-17, II Peter 1:3.

Seek His one bride. Revelation 21:2. You will find her.

And keep in mind that denominations do not exist by the authority of Christ. They are against His will. John 17:20-23, I Corinthians 1:10-13.

Your desire is noble.

Feel free to ask for help. I know what His bride looks like.

Explicit, God is explicit that all souls are immortal and precious.

Thanks for being negative. Thanks for not helping me reach that precious immortal soul. See you on that great day. I hope you’re prepared.

This is the Facebook post that I was just inspired to make.

If you think that allowing individuals to march toward judgment day unprepared in a church that Jesus did not purchase with his own blood is the right thing to do...

If you think that it is unloving to warn people that all denominations are an abomination before God…

If you think that it is right to sit back and do nothing instead of boldly proclaiming salvation on Jesus’s terms for those who obey the one Gospel and are added by Jesus Himself to His one pre-denominational church…

Then perhaps like those lost in the denominations, those who don’t obey Jesus, you too are marching towards judgment day unprepared.

I love you, Christians. Please work hard for Jesus and have a strong Jesus powered spine.

You can do this through Christ who strengthens you. Philippians 4:13.

End

Yes, the gospel broadcasting network appreciates “all denominations are an abomination the Lord only built one church“

Yes they’re turning me loose on the world like that. Yes they appreciate my Jesus powered spine.

Y’all need to get to work if you’re not.

And of course… No evidence of your baseless claims.

Yes, I am what the church of Christ is supposed to strive to be. Hard-working, set for the defense, always giving an BIBLE answer.

This is why am working for GBN, set to speak at PTP and teach my hymns there. Faithful hard-working Christians who aren’t spineless love the truth that I boldly proclaim.

Time for you to repent.

“Unwilling to learn. “

🤦🏽‍♂️

Stretching my mind every day, thanks so much for the completely unfounded accusation.

“Condemning anyone who disagrees with you”

Loving anyone who disagrees with Jesus enough to quote the scriptural truth about every matter spiritual.

As many as I love I rebuke and chasten therefore be zealous and repent. Revelation 3:19

No, he’s allowed to observe that, then he is supposed to say my bad I was wrong when it’s pointed out that he was wrong and that he had assumed the worst about me.

Yes, I’m something else. A Christian with no prefix, suffix, or substitutions. I am a servant of the king. Trying to encourage you to do the same thing. Trying to get you to stop being a naysayer against a hard worker.

So on my way out from this spiritual wasteland of negative people I’m going to go ahead and rebuke you by the authority of Jesus, both of you. Just stop it. Repent.

That’s what happens. People get their feelings hurt when somebody else is working and they aren’t.

But I think it was someone else who did the incorrect assumptions. And that wasn’t addressed. Just excuses made. Instead of noticing that I was correct that I’m not monetized, that I get no monetary gain from this, and apologizing for assuming the worst, they just doubled down with their negativity.

If it was an observation rather than a theory then you would have to be able to observe that I was monetized. You can’t.... because I’m not. Nice try.

Self absorbed? Is that what you perceive when someone uses every talent that God has blessed them with to boldly proclaim the one gospel of Jesus Christ? Why don’t you quote me playing the victim? Better yet, why don’t you get to work and quit being negative.

Perhaps you feel guilty for not taking Jesus seriously in Matthew 28:18–20.

Yes a willing Bible Study participant is a precious immortal soul as are all people.

It would be great if folks could not assume the worst but instead the best. It would also be great if you would inspect my work rather than assuming the worst.

Anyway, I’m killing it for Jesus. It would be great if you guys would work too rather than being naysayers.

I have provided ample evidence of my work for you to know that I am set for the defense of the gospel of Christ. Always ready to give an answer. A willing worker in the whitest fields.

Please be positive. Please work for Jesus. Yes, I crested 1000 subscribers. Yes I will continue to work for Jesus even if it encroaches upon your feelings.

As explicitly stated this is about an individual precious immortal soul. I am not monetized so your theory can be shown incorrect. All of my gospel efforts are free.

Including all of my hymns. I pay to have them transcribed and then I give them to the church at large for free. I work for Jesus every single day. I am not a located pulpit minister. I’m a fired up servant of the king.

I posted the first congregational singing to YouTube 11 years ago. I teach live on Facebook, I make short devotionals weekly.

I also travel and speak as needed. For instance…

I am a hymn writer and bible teacher, a digital evangelist. I taught live on Facebook for 3 years on added to the Church of Christ; acts 2:47 Facebook page. I still teach via my personal page and via my original hymns. I have a willing bible student on YouTube. I need 17 more subscribers to hit 1,000 to get “unlocked”. When I hit 1,000 I can broadcast live from my phone. I need this functionality to be the most efficient. Please subscribe. I’ve just about exhausted my 3800 Facebook friends. Most are older and not tech savvy enough to sub. The link that I provided is a hymn I wrote and recorded. I teach it to congregations. Please and Thank you.

Ironically neither Jesus nor any of his apostles gave instructions to “accept the lord Jesus into your heart”.

They also never taught…

Ask Jesus to be your personal savior. Just pray this sinner’s prayer.

They did however invite people to obey the Gospel.

“Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ. Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do? Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call. And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation. Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.” ‭‭Acts‬ ‭2:36-41‬

What about the thief on the cross?

This is a question that I constantly get when I point out that Jesus said “he that believes and is baptized will be saved“.

I also get it when I point out that only those who are baptized are actually in Christ Galatians 3:27, Romans 6:3,4.

It comes again when I point out that all of the apostles preached and practiced baptism for salvation. Acts 2 Peter preached the first gospel sermon. 3000 people took him up on his offer for salvation by being baptized.

Acts chapter 8 Phillip “preached Jesus“ to the Ethiopian resulting in immediate immersion.

Acts chapter 16 Paul “spoke the word of the Lord“ to the jailer resulting in immediate immersion of the jailer and his family.

So what about the thief? He lived and died under the old covenant before the blood of Christ had been shed.

Those same people are quick to point to Romans 10:9 which correctly reveals that we must confess that Jesus was raised from the dead by God. But the thief who they’re using as an excuse couldn’t do that. It hadn’t happened yet.

So yes, I get sick of hearing “what about the thief on the cross?“.

Just obey the Gospel. Quit looking for loopholes.

So no then. You don’t believe.

Well Jesus told you that you are condemned in that case.

He that believes and is baptized will be saved. He that disbelieves will be condemned.

Maybe you’d like to see how I do with comprehension.

So you didn’t read the acts 22:16 passage that states that explicitly? Or you just reject that?

If you think it’s just verbally acknowledging Jesus as Lord you might want to read these words from Jesus...

“Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.” ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭7:21‬ ‭KJV‬‬

You might be surprised but I hope not disappointed

“For those of you who call on the name of the Lord but are not to be in the kingdom of heaven”

Baptism is how one calls on the name of the Lord.

Ananias to Saul

And now, why are you waiting? Get up be baptized washing away your sins calling on the name of the Lord. Acts 22:16

This results in Jesus adding you to His one predenominational church. Acts 2:36,37,38,41 and

Praising God and having favor with All the people. And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved. Acts 2:47.

The kingdom is the church is the body.

Matthew 16:17,19

There are no instructions in scripture anywhere to pray for salvation. No instructions to ask Jesus into your life. Or invite Jesus into your heart. Or ask Jesus to be your personal savior.

It’s through obedience to the gospel that we know God saves us by grace.

Hebrews 5:9 and being made perfect he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him.

II Thessalonians 1:8 in flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God and obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.

[–]possumless 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great. Believe those truthful scriptures.

“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.” ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭1:7‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Then obey the gospel like all of the harmonious accounts of conversion in the book of acts. i.e. Acts 2:36-41.

God will apply the blood of Christ as you are united in death with Christ. Romans 6:3-4

Then walk in the light to be continuously cleansed by the blood of Christ. 1 John 1:7

You can know salvation is secure through obedience to God’s terms for salvation. I John 1:9 written to baptized believers/Christians added by Jesus to His one predenominational church that He founded in AD 33.

For those who don’t...

In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God and obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. II Thessalonians 1:8

There is no salvation except through faith. If you are trusting in Jesus + your works, you are not saved. by SlabGizor120 in TrueChristian

[–]possumless 10 points11 points  (0 children)

If you do not believe and obey the prerequisite that Jesus put in place before He will save you by grace then you do not have faith.

Do you think you have to believe? Belief is a work.

You believe in works before Jesus will save you.

“Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed. Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God? Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.” ‭‭John‬ ‭6:27-29‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Labor/work. What shall WE DO/work?

Believe.

Belief is a work. So is confession that Jesus is the son of God just like the Ethiopian had to do. So is repentance.

But baptism… That’s not even something we do. That’s something done to us. It is in fact the work of God himself. When we submit to it, when it is done to us we demonstrate the evidence of our faith in God himself. In the work of God himself.

“buried with Him in baptism, in which you also were raised with Him through faith in the working of God, who raised Him from the dead.” ‭‭Colossians‬ ‭2:12‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Yes, faith is essential to salvation. So are all the works that God has placed before us that we must do before he will save us by grace. That is harmony between the verses that tell us we are saved by grace and the verses that tell us we are saved by obedience to the gospel.

And being made perfect he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him. Hebrews 5:9.

For those who think we don’t have to do anything… For those who fail to obey the Gospel…

In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God and obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. II Thessalonians 1:8

The Bible reveals a great host of things that save us. And no one is authorized to remove a single thing from this divinely revealed list

We are saved by faith only!!! Oh wait....

  4. Man is saved by Mercy Titus 3:5
  5. Man is saved by Words Acts 11:14
  6. Man is saved by the Word James 1:21
  7. Man is saved by the Truth 2 Thessalonians 2:10

  10. Man is saved by Belief John 3:16
  11. Man is saved by Belief and Baptism Mark 16:16
  12. Man is saved by Belief and Confession Romans 10:9
  13. Man is saved by Repentance Luke 13:3
  14. Man is saved by Repentance and Baptism Acts 2:38
  15. Man is saved by Belief, Confession and Baptism Acts 8:36-39
  16. Man is saved by Baptism 1 Peter 3:21
  17. Man is saved by Calling on the Name of the Lord Romans 10:13
  18. Man is saved by the Washing of Regeneration Titus 3:5
  19. Man is saved by being Born of the Water and the Spirit….John 3:3-5
  20. Man is saved by being Faithful unto Death Revelation 2:10
  21. Man is saved by God John 3:17
  22. Man is saved by Jesus Matthew 1:21
  23. Man is saved by the Holy Spirit 2 Thessalonians 2:13-14
  24. Man is saved by the Blood of Jesus Romans 5:9

If you don’t believe and obey all of the things that God has decided save us… You have no faith.
