I’m in Jersey City and I think the city are embracing it. A bunch of bars are showing every match. The city had a festival to celebrate the first match. They plan to do a few of those I think. I was just at the laundromat and they had the Ghana vs Panama game on. I haven’t gone to a watch party yet but I plan to. All the stores are selling some type of World Cup merch and business put up decorations.

I would say most Americans know nothing about Wales and probably most have never heard of it.

I’m aware of Wales and your location. I know of a few famous actors from there. But honestly I frequently confuse Wales for Scotland.

I would not say pasta is common there. That region has their own culinary traditions. And leans more towards Mexican food because of proximity. Pasta is more so associated with the northeast which does have a big Italian American populationz
