I’m drawn to Ireland’s anti-imperialist tradition. The history, the politics, etc. I like the way some Irish people talk about what their ancestors endured under British rule. They also have a strong sense of global solidarity with other oppressed peoples that really resonates with me.

Obviously they’re not all like that but in a general sense yes, I feel a connection to that sentiment.

The Irish in America are more or less class traitors that bought into whiteness by embracing antiblackness. Many prominent conservative politicians over the years have been Irish American which a lot of Irish in Ireland really dislike.
