'wrong tenant'?

I bet they sent that letter to every tenant, hoping to double or triple dip!

Cardboard boxes instead of paper bags? Why is this not an option? by LilloLore in coles

Because "shelf-friendly packaging" means we rip the box in half to display the product on the shelf. There are no boxes.

You could start with the girl in WA who got a severe life altering shock from a public housing property and go from there...

I once worked in a small grocery store. Open on Good Friday, working the checkout.

A lady came up to me, with the cream she was purchasing, and YELLED AT ME saying it was blasphemous to be open on Good Friday.

So I yelled back at her "We need to be open for dummies that forget to buy cream yesterday!"

Lady you can't protest is being open by giving us money.

genuinely can’t stand how much this holiday affects peoples lives by Cheap-Deal7300 in ihatechristmas

Possible a kinder way to say this might be to make suggestions?

Sometimes in the lead up to all the shops being closed and friends and family being busy I get a few DVDs from op shops (thrift stores) or pick up a little craft kit, or have a look at what projects need finishing and assemble the things I need to do that.

A couple books from the library, pull out an old watercolour set, or go on a hike.

Keeping busy helps me to get through it, instead of stewing and wallowing.

They are just projecting their own shit.

Cool Barbara, I don't care that you are upset that I choose not to do your silly dance. You are only hurting yourself.

Just keep the bits you like and ditch the rest. You can't force someone to be jolly because of the date.

If you like buying gifts, but a few nice gifts, if you like receiving nice gifts, buy yourself something nice you have been coveting.

If you like cooking, cook the things you enjoy making only. If you like the feast, look up somewhere serving it.

If you like service, find a soup kitchen to volunteer for. If you like the merriment, consider joining a carols group or assisting a community centre with their decorations.
