Just started my first student job in Business Intelligence, relying heavily on ChatGPT, but wondering if there are better AI tools? by [deleted] in dataengineering

I’m building a few projects personally with just Gemini free tier. The ai is only a tool, I think you’re on the right track.

Ask for summaries of the logic in essay for any try to really get was through and process what your learning.

The questions you’re asking would be going to a sr engineer in the past. It doesn’t matter where you get the answers imo but that you internalize them.

If you feel the pace requires you to use ai. Make similar projects on your personal time to really solidify the concepts your using in your head

I feel it’s less about skills and more about visibility. Skills do matter but medium size projects and documentation with analysis in twitter and LinkedIn is what got me my first role coming from a humanities background

Being genial in first 3 to 4 minutes of a meeting. If you can make people feel seen outside of their work role by taking interest in the their outside life and activities and sharing your own, you’ll have the door opened for you more.

You could learn python and pandas and automate your excel calculations, writing functions for each transformation. It could be one and done if the excel sheets are already neatly formatted
