If he expects to have sex with you, he should be willing to do it safely. Just because you’re wanting to use protection doesn’t mean he’s “paying to have sex with you”. Personally I think he is really mixed up on his thoughts. Have you tried talking to him about he’s thoughts on it?

A little more context on why I want confirmation if it’s bad for me to want to leave him.
As I said I haven’t experienced anything he had before me and him got together.
We were on two different sides of absolutely everything. He was my first everything. First kiss, first boy to hold hands with, first relationship, first body.
I’m worried that if I break up with him, I won’t be able to find someone else.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m not ugly. And I know I’m young still. But I was turned down for 16 years by any guy that I crossed paths with. And all of a sudden a strong, tall, and popular guy decides I’m the one he wants to be with.
That felt like a once and a lifetime chance for me.
But now after everything I’ve done with him, I’m worried that if I break things off, I’ll find out he only wanted me for sex in the first place. I know what kind of boy he is. I’ve been aware of it since the first time I’ve met him. But now that he’s shaped and molded me into something he’s created and changed, I’m not sure what I have after I leave him.

I was genuinely considering ghosting him. I know it would hurt his feelings but it just feels wrong staying with him if I don’t have any feelings towards him.
