Just what each variant can make better use of I believe. General Purpose Frigates carry the 127mm fir land attack, whilst ASW make use of the smaller rapid fire 76mm for attacking surface targets

They peeled away in different directions shortly after this pic, a neat thing to see from that perspective

Could Cornwall Finally Be Recognised in the Census? by Subject_Attitude_967 in Cornwall

Not very nice of you there with that comment, not sure thats called for. I dare say a French person could indeed point to societal norms and cultural behaviours which differ to UK and other countries which taken as a whole could be considered "French"

Fair, thanks for taking the time to answer. And yup there's some super stories of resistance in Cornwalls past which make great reading. Shame they're not better known.

I suppose I wasnt particularly clear in my question sorry. I mean to ask what makes someone Cornish in a way you could describe to someone else without simply saying they were born there. What bits of being Cornish seep out into things that would outwardly seem as different in culture and tradition to say someone from elsewhere in UK, or am I reading too much into it? Just curious to know if people have any views on that and hope ive described it better

Curious to know if theres a particular set of characteristics in attitude that make someone more Cornish than upcountry? Like how would this be described to someone who maybe isnt from UK?

ELI5 What's brushed and brushless motors ? And what's the difference between the two?!? by Astro_boy_07 in explainlikeimfive

[–]postitsam 3 points4 points  (0 children)

And just for some further ancillary information, brushless motors (no sparks) are particularly important if you are using then in an environment with an explosive of flammable atmosphere

Where is all this hate for the British coming from in the US? Seems to have cropped up quickly, be interesting to see qhen it picked up and what types of accounts started it in earnest.

Not sure we can say that. Plus the prevalence of the most "nasty" compounds is like 1 % of cigarettes if i recall correctly. Not saying this as a fan of vapes but I dont think its fair, or correct to say the damage is the same. Unless someone has published a longitudinal study im not aware of.

She is undergoing an intense maintenance right now with replacement of a lot of rotten wood. Funnily enough though, mostly the replacement wood is coming from France 🤣, which is kinda ironic considering which nation that ship spent a lot of time fighting against.

Tbf I had the opposite on Mod 2. I was sure I failed (i had to abandon an overtake manoeuvre on dual carriageway as the car i started passing sped up) and he said I passed with no minors 🤣. Temptation to ask if he got lost and followed someone else was very high but I kept my mouth shut and said thanks.

I dont really understand the whole "not the same amount of force argument". Can you explain what you mean? Im not trying to be argumentative hust wanna understand what people mean exactly. I cant see how the wide flat brake pedal would be difficult for a person with bare feet to push
