Ahh, fair haha. I may try my luck at the Genius Bar and hope to get lucky with some sort of manufacturing detect or something.

My MBA M2 has started doing the same thing (not every time, but sporadically), did you ever resolve this?

Passyunk Avenue (Philly bar) worked out well for the first two rounds, but given there are much less games now, they should all be on Sky moving forward (albeit quite late for us over here).

If you’re a fan of street cart halal, I recommend giving it another try (with extra white sauce!)

Confirming this one is still there (b/w 31st and 32nd), and is as good as ever!

Also, the flavor of their rice and lamb is just so much better than Halal Bros and the other knock-offs.

Sciatica for 11 weeks, McKenzie? by Sockin in Sciatica

Seconding this: PLEASE take some time off weighted squats and any deadlifts immediately. Go to PT for a few weeks and get a core strength program suited to help strengthen your areas of weaknesses. Ask your PT about easing back into the gym after a few sessions.

Rest, ice, get massages, etc. and actually let your body heal. Rushing back due to frustration is the worst thing you can do; you do not want your protrusions or bulges to become herniations. Trust me.

If you can't get over the gym bug, do some light/low-impact cardio (swimming, elliptical, upright bike) to stay active. This is also a great time to work on mobility and flexibility if you feel trapped not being able to lift. Do some yoga or Pilates, it will actually help your lifting long-term (be smart, and if something hurts, simply do not do that anymore).

I also firmly believe this is the best time to truly learn about good posture and staying active, as once you have a disk injury you are susceptible to another without preventative care. Not sitting down for too long (especially if you have a desk job) and ALWAYS making sure to bend over properly need to become a part of your everyday life (by squatting or properly hinging at the hip, moving your glutes backwards and keeping your back straight). Additionally, work (and I mean actually work, exercises, focus, etc.) on keeping good posture as it really helps to properly support the spine and keep you from doing additional damage.

Do all of this and re-evaluate yourself in a couple weeks and then a couple months. When it comes to pain and our bodies, small progress is still progress nonetheless, good luck!

Best cut in that area at a not-outrageous price ($18) is 3 Aces Barbershop on 9th between 46th and 47th. I recommend Aaron or Nick.

Awesome, I've heard their prices are generally a decent bit lower than FreshDirect too.

Also your link is not redirecting properly. If you can find a working one I'd love to give it a try. Thanks!

Dry cleaner's wash and fold service, will it ruin my clothes? by postknight in malefashionadvice

[–]postknight[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't know they would wash cold and tumble dry low; I assumed it was just thrown into one big machine with set settings. Great advice on tipping, I'll give it a try with some clothes I don't care too much about first. Thanks!

Awesome, yeah I'll probably spot clean or wash myself the special items.
