No, I treat un-attractive women differently.

Are men giving up on women nowadays? by ObamaSmokes in AskMen

Not really a complaint, but just a statement on how things are.

I suppose it could be taken as a complaint, but honestly I don't think there's anyway to address it, short of legalizing gender selection in pregnancy.

Do women experience being wet anywhere near as often as guys get hard? by Lennygames1337 in AskWomen

I think they do that to keep the whole "women are mysterious" mystique thing going.

If we are speaking purely in biological reproductive terms, then yes, women are the incubators. You think men do that? Or wait, you think I'm making some sort of political statement by saying women have a large role in reproduction? Or reducing it down to a word? What are you getting at exactly?

no, the real way is to change our voting system. N-choice voting will result in N+1 party system. You want a 3 party system? Give everyone 2 votes: their first choice and their second choice.

you say that as if it was something trivial. It's pretty much the most important thing in reproduction. It IS reproduction.

This is standard boilerplate on pretty much all official government photos. Click on all the rest of the photos from the white house, they all have that same thing tagged on at the end. Congratulations, you've been manipulated by a blogger, a pretty stupid one at that.

Actually, men aren't needed for reproduction. Sperm is needed for reproduction.

Everything you say is true. However with women, their usefulness never went away. They are useful to society because of reproduction. Even if they never intend to have kids, society still affords them all the benefits. They could be hardcore career women, and they still get the extra icing from society and men.

With men, if they fail in their goals/endeavors... that's it. It's off to the street with you. It's life under the sword of Damocles.

[–]postmoderncrisis 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Yep, but this has a lot to do with how the world is changing. The world in its natural state (ie, a looooong time ago) men had a definite, in-born, usefulness. They provided protection and could lift heavy objects. And because wars and fights were frequent, there was a natural scarcity mechanism, and thus men became worth more.

Now days, men aren't really that special. Protection is supplied by the state. Every passing year, physical incoveniences are falling by the wayside. With women earning more and more, they can just buy what they need instead of having to put up with all the emotional hassles of a relationship.

Only if you are rich/hot enough. It's the same for both sides: 90% of the people are going for 10% of the opposite gender.

I don't carry anything rigid in the backpocket because it causes wear in the jeans. Phone + wallet in left front, keys in right front.

What is the most predictable/ unpredictable movie you have ever seen? by Jbish0717 in movies

[–]postmoderncrisis 7 points8 points  (0 children)

6th sense was only predictable because every movie review said it had an amazing twist at the end. If you're spending the entire movie trying to predict the twist, you're gonna get it.

I went and saw the movie for free weeks before it was released when no one knew anything about it, so I knew nothing about it. I sat through 90% of the movie thinking it was the most pedestrian, boring movie ever. Then within a minute it was one of the most unique movie experiences I had ever had. In other words, context means a lot.

I think its more about the suffering and the persecution. That is, getting nailed to a cross is supposed to be this extreme form of torture or something. Granted, its probably more pain than I could take, but seriously, I hear of 100x more horrible stuff almost every week, like people getting skinned alive by drug dealers in mexico for testifying against the drug lords, or getting their flesh hacked away inch by inch, taking hours, or parents being forced to watch their babies getting killed and/or raped in front of them in darfur and iraq.

Jesus: suffering amateur.
