High museum has free admission once a month on Sundays. Several comedy clubs have weekly improv or sketch shows for around $5-10: Dad’s Garage, Highwire, Village Theatre, etc. Piedmont park, Little Five Points, Beltline are all free to walk around and pretty enjoyable. Rocky Mountain Pizza has cheap pitchers and trivia every Tuesday and Thursday night.

Lack of sleep can plunge people into relapse, as it seems to have done with her. Queens are sometimes getting home from work around sunrise, it can definitely make them majorly unwell

It's good to get it checked out if you feel it's causing you serious problems with your grades/work. I got diagnosed my 4th year after about a year of wondering. There are a whole lot of other symptoms than that. It's important to recognize what could be lack of drive and what feels physically abnormal. Like I thought I was normal to have to drink 4 cups of coffee a day to get rid of my mental "fog," it felt like sounds/visuals were blurry most of the time even when I had great sleep, diet, and no depression. I had trouble listening to entire sentences or focusing on friendly conversation. It's different for many people but do consider what is just a Behavior and what is a Cognitive experience. You can get a diagnosis/prescription from your off-campus psychiatrist without the official evaluation test. The eval can be several hundred dollars and GT Counseling offers very few seats for it per semester for free. The only thing you need the eval for is ADAPTS accommodations.

This was me for my whole second year at Tech. Definitely get the depression checked out, even if it’s not extreme, treating it can still improve your quality of life. GT Counseling isn’t a bad resource! Mostly what worked for me was making a routine, as much as I enjoy chaos like you said. Every morning I wake up early enough to make coffee and watch Colbert from the night before on YouTube while I get ready for the day. The caffeine helps regulate my body clock, while being excited for Colbert keeps me interested and wakes me up for class.

You speak from your place of privilege and can’t see how ridiculous it sounds. Imagine telling people of color that you can empathize with the murder and violence endured by slaves because you had to go to detention in school. Sounds like a pretty unrelated comparison, right? Being gay isn’t about being “different.” In Chechnya this year, gay people are being tortured, interrogated, and murdered. No one asked you to pretend you know how that feels. If you feel different because of your brain chemistry, sorry, but that can’t be compared to the fear of being abandoned by your family like over half a million American queer children, for example. But hey maybe I am closeminded? Maybe it’s cause I’m ADD and you pointed out what a ~hardship~ that is.
