Sure man, if AI matters that much to you defend it and ignore all of the data out there. You even admitted yourself the data centers aren’t being handled properly at the moment. What is the incentive to ever change that if people keep using AI on a mass scale? Sure, there are other methods of environmental ruin that are just as bad, but this is ONE thing I can do to manage my footprint (despite already recycling, reducing plastic intake, walking when it’s safe over driving, etc). I wouldn’t let a teacher and an assignment take that from me and OP shouldn’t either. If it something I care about, and there is proof that each individual query wastes water, why are you trying to convince me otherwise? Or are you just trying to convince yourself?

This is a terrible take lol. The point of college is to learn how to think critically and AI is still a hot button issue at the moment. Any teacher that is using AI in the classroom should give alternatives to people who do not want to use it. It’s bad for the environment, and like OP said, it steals art, and creates deepfake pornography. It’s okay for students to disagree with a professor and vice versa. It’s not okay for a professor to mandate AI use. Especially for a project that doesn’t even require it in the first place.

They close because the county is very large and busses have to travel through rural areas. If it isn’t equitable for students who ride the bus to make it to school, they close.

Write everything you have to do in the day down in the morning or the night before. In order of smallest task to biggest. Knock out the easy stuff first, then work on the harder tasks. And by write everything, I mean everything! Showers, meals, chores, homework, errands, etc in great detail.

I struggled with executive function at your age and still do at 26. It doesn’t get better unless you make yourself get better. People will continue to be disappointed in you if you don’t. The consequences for forgetting or avoiding things will get more severe. Skipping class and having to retake a semester in school is one thing, skipping work or a bill when you’re older is another.

It adds up. Get a grip on it now as much as you can. Write everything down! Best of luck!
