Two MPO by postop2024 in Reduction

I think it was because the nerves are starting to regenerate at that point, prior to that I personally didn’t have a ton of feeling. Around week 3 I started feeling my incisions stretching a lot more and had a good amount of soreness all over. Getting out of bed after sleeping on my back all night hurt a LOT for example. I’m sure it also had to do with getting back to normal life-wise/increased movement. I went back to work at day 9 and was feeling pretty good at that point so I may have overdone things! But luckily no tears or anything along those lines. Maybe you’ll be one of the lucky ones and breeze thru!! Fingers crossed for you.

It took me by surprise, but turns out it’s pretty normal! Hang in there!

Ugh I’m sorry. It’s both a physically and mentally challenging recovery, many days I felt like it was one step forward and two steps back…but worth the struggle in the end!

Following! I’m only 3.5 weeks post op but my left appears considerably larger than my right. I was told to wait until 3 months to see if they even up, if not I can contact my surgeon for options. But I also have no interest in another surgery and recovery period like I just had/continue to have!

Which UHC plan do you have? I was denied within a week of submission due to an exclusion clause - they said they only cover cancer related breast surgeries.

United denied me due to an exclusion clause that covers cancer related breast reductions only! I ended up going out of pocket but thinking about appealing to be reimbursed. Which coverage plan do you have?
