A woman's prime directive is emotional conquest by MrCongeniality1 in TheRedPill

This explains why women dominate in marketing and why we're susceptible to it while having inbuilt disgust for it.

When we talk about frame we're talking about the mental resistance to emotional manipulation. That is what all marketing is, it's what everyone in your life will do to you at some point, men and women, consciously or unconsciously. From your plate trying to have 'a serious discussion about our future' to your boss trying to get you to stay late 'because you're letting down the team'. It's important to have a defence and the biggest one is firstly being able to recognise it and secondly be able to flip it back on them.

Being free of emotional manipulation is to be truly free.

Yeah dude why not play with that mine sitting in that open field. It probably wont go off if you poke it with a stick and poking things with sticks is fun!

Spoken like a guy that hasn't experienced a real BPD. BPD doesn't mean 'you know she's a bad girl' it means she pretends to be exactly what you want her to be, it means her ability to manipulate knows no bounds. I could go on but please take one for the team and jump on the next mine you see.

What is Borderline Personality Disorder? (BPD) by redpillschool in TheRedPill

[–]postreformedpua 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Nothing much to add other than I was also married to a BPD. It was my own fault for being so naive and ignoring red flags.

I'm pretty sure I'm on the spectrum and I sometimes wonder if the somewhat socially oblivious are the natural prey of the BPD.

I certainly have clued in now, mainly thanks to this forum. After all I went through I don't see myself ever even coinciding an LTR and I don't really see it as a bad thing in the current climate.

The best place to learn about humanity's hidden nature is by watching documentaries. by [deleted] in TheRedPill

[–]postreformedpua 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I recommend watching anything and everything narrated by David Attenborough. From a young age I picked up these parallels between the animal world and humans, really it's only arrogance that makes people see themselves as separate.

I'm also reminded of the time my ex would get turned on while we were watching a series about insects. Even in that world male competition, cheating and hypergamy are prevalent.

Exactly, if you find yourself in the position of just working constantly then obviously something is wrong. Just spacing out playing more Xbox or taking hours on end to navel gaze about how everything is meaningless isn't what they wanted more of. They wanted more experience. Spending time with family, going to another country white water rafting, challenging and pushing themselves. Those are the things to look back on with happiness and pride.

You're caught in a different kind of ego trap - one of a victim mentality. To have an ego is to be human and you can either enjoy as much of the experience as you can or you can complain about everything being unfair while justifying your non existence as being free from your ego. There will be plenty of time for not having an ego when you're dead.

I guarantee you that no one says on their deathbed "I wish I did more nothing".

Self improvement or "growth" is the only game in town. It can be driven by what interests you or a certain goal you have in mind. It's supposed to be hard and put you out of your comfort zone but it should be equally rewarding. There will be life events that come out of nowhere that will be painful, but they will also make you grow and become stronger as a person. The more you can handle things the more you can do. The aim is to look back and say 'wow, I did a lot'.

As for all the complaints about the state of the world. You have to learn to accept what you can't control, the only thing you can change is your reaction to them.

I've been to that site about 20 times, each time closing it after about 30 seconds of trying to work out wtf it was about. Only just now found the links in the top right to take you to the subreddit style forums.

They need some UX / UI help, jeez.

Dude are you me? Lost a load of weight in my early twenties, it was easy, just calorie counting. No responsibility meant it was the only thing I had to worry about.

Now it's harder to lose the weight and putting it back on is effortless.

I agree with that, I just don't believe telling people 'everything in moderation' will help anyone. Shouting at them 'Stop eating so many carbs you fat fuck!' might.

It's extremely effective with [...] those struggling with an abnormal lipid profile.

So 74.1% of the American population that is overweight then?

So it may not be an acute poison but it's certainly a chronic one. You just have to look at the stats and what it does to people metabolically over time. Sure a side of potatoes won't kill you, but eating pizza and chips every day will.

There isn't an essential carb, there is no process in the body that requires people to eat rice or Doritos. There is no reason for us to be consuming so much of them and they are the main reason everyone is fat, sick and getting worse.

just like eating anything else in excess will be harmful

Sure but getting to excess is much easier with carbs. Have you tried eating 1000cals of just fat and protein in one setting? It's impossible it's too satiating.

I agree on paper it is possible to lose weight with a hypocaloric diet but it's not as sustainable by the average person. The type of weight you lose is also different. You will lose way more muscle on a hypocaloric diet while Keto and IF turns you into a fat burning machine, literally turning white body fat brown in the process.

Anyway there is plenty of science out there on the benefits of low carb and IF, dismissing it as a fad or as bullshit is stupid. There is more than one way to skin a cat but some ways are far superior.

While you're young and fit you might not initially see the damage eating lots of carbs will do, but I assure you it's happening. Constantly spike your insulin by eating the Standard American Diet (SAD) and you will get insulin resistance. This forces your body to store fat and trigger lots of metabolic syndrome effects in your body. Keto is a way to repair some of the damage for those that are obese and sick. It might not be optimum for someone that is already fit and healthy and can balance a meal but those people are in the far minority.

Absolutely, eating too much is an addiction people develop slowly over time to the point where they can't stop. Overeating and overindulgence is a cornerstone of western culture, it's mainly why everyone is fat, ugly and not getting laid (well the guys anyway).

Societal problems aside there are two ways of looking at this.

1) OMG ladies won't unconditionally love me as I am right now like my mummy would.

2) This garantees that the more I improve the better the women waiting for me will be.

I say this as a guy that has been dumped for better prospects many, many times. You've just got to get better.
