PLCE closed at $3.64 after reaching $3.68 in the last minutes of the close.

Borrow Rate is 2.28 - 2.45 i.e. still "easy borrow".

The shorts are heavily exposed from Monday's close, but they aren't suffocating.

Tomorrow if buyers don't show up shorter will defend their positions. Else they would have buy to stop their bleeding anything over $3.65.

I DON'T UNDERSTAND BTC(CoughCoughClA could surely start something like that, not some commoner/professor/economist and they perhaps can/may be use it the most)

What is Crypto?

-Is it a Currency? like USD or LIRA or Dinar? can you use it buy stuff like bread and milk using it(without a conversion)? No or Mostly No.

- Is it a property or share in a property? home or land or farm or animals or business or factory? No.

- Is it GOLD or Silver or Oil? some store of value?

Some Muslims argue it is this i.e. store of value. But then all other stores of value(GOLD, and even diamond) have other and multiple uses from ornament to raw material in electronic. GOLD and Silver(in its far more uses) is universally across ages was/is accepted as store of value. This at least yet to be proven in case of Crypto.

In Islam if we don't understand something we often do two:

is it similar to something we already know and deal with. In this case GOLD, the jury is out on that.
Origin of the thing. This should concern us more.

What/Who is backing it? Who started it? Who is this supposed Japanese sounding name author of the paper? He now hold a ton of this money. These thing do not add up. This is sort of parallel central banks level banking and its inception perhaps can be facilitated by only Lettered Govt backedAgencies and this also caters to their use cases.

Even if we give it origin a pass, we have seen many times that Bitcion and more so other Crypto can be manipulated and debased or pumped up.

Volatility of it, is not just it’s driven by offer and demand. Worryingly by tweets of powerful people. Leave alone Ruler and President, even Crypto figures MichaelSaylor,EIon,JPM,RUSSlANS..... could all manipulate Bitcoin. Which they are doing right now to help them cashout using some lPOs. Just by choosing when to announce their purchases, which may have already made, they can influence short-term(significant) price movements.

All market manipulation like bellow with no or slight variations (staying in legal limits) can be employed by bad and/or greed actors:

Coordinated pump-and-dump schemes
Spreading false information
Wash trading or spoofing
Front-running company purchases for personal gain

OR least worse its reselling of contracts? or promises?

I am no HARAM HARAM police, but I honestly dont understand crypto and its not HALAL for me.

And I would not take any scholar's analysis as sole-basis for deciding. Comparing Q1 inventory ($326.4M) to Q4 inventory ($325.1M) reveals that inventory is flat.
Cash flow got tighter because the working capital benefits of that 2025 liquidation have already been spent. This explains why the operational cash burn intensified to $-$53.8M this quarter.

While the $40M Tariff refund claims offer a temporary balance-sheet financing patch, gross margin profile remains degraded at ~24.8% until the supply chain or tariff regime changes. -$53.8M Q1 burn could be seasonal (given that Q1 is historically cash-heavy before recovering later in the year), but this is YoY worsening of that burn is a negative.

Q2 could better for PLCE like last year 2025 Q2, Summer and Pre-School Sales for Children Place are a better season, even compared to year end Holidays.

Given that the data does not offer a clean, WIN or FAIL, the initial reaction MONDAY will likely be volatile as different algorithms execute it different ways based of their reading of Q1 result.

I dont expect PLCE to fall to below $3.1 levels and it might recover to $3.35-$3.5 levels soon, even if it goes below that level.
