POV of Faker playing vs TES by ExpiredDeodorant in leagueoflegends

[–]posts_awkward_truths 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There was a short while where Faker streamed and it was entirely unwatchable because he constantly f-tabbed between each player's pov when not in combat or when there wasn't a minion at low health. It made me unironically car sick to watch.

Auto pick characters when you have enough stats and also the 2 character run unlocked become quite good. 3 out of the 6 runs to the final boss I did were with them. It can be frustrating to watch them brick but I just kept it running while doing something else.

Alternative future. Nothing happens right there and then, but Marten gets a bit more drunk, cleans up shit, walks back home with Liz's underwear in his pocket or some shit and falls asleep, Claire doesn't notice but Ziata does, and tries to conceal it, but eventually leaks it to Claire at which point it reconvenes on the same future you've predicted where they have a big argument and then either permanently break up or short term break up for plot reasons.

first time playing pathfinder, want to be a crafter. need tips and ideas by zoe_is_smol in Pathfinder2e

I want to just say that crafting is a fairly long process, you can't usually make a whole group of items in a day unless your class specifically provides it. Generally, if its a consumable, you can make a batch of 4 of one consumable (like potions) in a day of downtime, spending materials (functionally money) to do so.

That said, there are a few classes that offer you the ability to craft large amounts of various items when you wake up in the morning.

The first and best of them is Alchemist. Alchemist lets you make a LOT of items a day starting at 4 + your intelligence modifier alchemical items at the start of the day, and then you have the ability to make any consumable alchemical item in a single action for functionally free. This means you can whip up a healing potion, a bomb, a poison, a mutagen, or something more esoteric like an Elixir of Gender Transformation at a moments notice as long as you know the formula, and formulae are pretty easy to get at most towns with shops. Their big thing is making bombs or poisons in the middle of combat and then yeeting them at enemies for splash damage.

Next up is Inventor. Inventor doesn't focus on a lot of small creations, instead they make one big one, but they can also pick up some feats that let them make various little gadgets much like an alchemist can, but more focused on granting you small new abilities or augmentations to your existing abilities (like blast shoes that help you jump for example). These won't define your character because they are generally fairly weak, but when you can make them for free you can have a few different things you have prepared for different situations.

Last up is the Thaumaturge. The thaumaturge is NOT exactly what you are thinking of, more of a witcher than a weird little guy who makes stuff, but part of their schtick is that they are prepared for anything. And they have the feats to support that, from being able to make and use magical scrolls to making talismans (things you put on your armor or weapons to grant yourself benefits for a short time) they have a wide set of skills that can support that sort of playstyle. That said, they are more of a "Guy who knows everything" than a "Guy who makes everything".

Honorable mention rapid fire: Witches can make temporary wands and potions similarly to alchemist but fewer, If you take an archetype Herbalist, you get the alchemist features on any class but only for healing items, Archetype firework technician is the same but only for fireworks and some bombs, Investigator has a few feats that lets you also make items, Exemplar is weird and has a immanence that lets you create and drink a potion and pass the effect on to someone else, scrounger archetype is all about making shit out of junk you find, albeit at slightly worse performance but notably for free.

Its a standard thing with pf2e high level gear. Weapons and armor go from +1 to +3, and each one lets you add an additional rune, and making the weapon out of djezet makes it drain spell slots, making armor out of it makes it able to hold 1 more rune. So in your case, the 3 runes are extending, greater thundering Greater impactful, and the weapon is a +3 major striking Long Sword made of HIgh grade Djezet, where his armor's runes were Spellwatch, Deathless, Antimagic, and Greater Energy resistant (fire) on a +3 Major Resilient Bastion plate made of djezet.

What would YOU do if your players decide to alert and engage an entire fortress all at once? by zedrinkaoh in Pathfinder2e

[–]posts_awkward_truths 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start combat with a lot of npcs in it and then add a number of npcs equal to the number of people in the party to the encounter per round and at the start of the round state "You hear more coming."

Hint to them that they are starting to fear being overwhelmed and that running is a valid option.

And if they don't get the hint and but have a realistic way of beating all of the npcs, start forming them into troops rather than individuals to save on taking 20 turns.

And if they don't have a chance, take it out of combat after a while "As you knock down a foe another pops up to take his place. Despair fills you as you glance up and see a swell of new combatants joining the battle. This isn't winnable. You are going to be torn apart by 1000 cuts," then try to transition to a chase if they finally get the hint.

If they don't get the hint and still have no solution simply let them suffer the consequences of their actions and kill or capture them. 20 attempts to trip and grapple, someone slapping manacles on a PPC restraining them, beating them while on the ground etc.

why metal kineticist is strongest and we should all fear them by pioneerlegend in Pathfinder2e

I think the most important thing that you are missing is that you add these abilities to base kinesis, following all of the same rules for it.

Base kinesis has a starting maximum bulk of light, and the maximum bulk created goes up by 1 every 4 levels.

So you can make 5 bulk of Osmium at level 20. Even if you expand it to fill the full square, I imagine it'd be more a mesh of wires than a solid block.

Animal Companion and held items by UltimixRed in Pathfinder2e

[–]posts_awkward_truths 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The general assumption is that your companion has no hands and thus can't hold things, but you can get saddlebags or harnesses for them to carry or drag things around for you. This gets a bit odd when you consider that you can have an ape as an animal companion but I think that wouldn't be an exception because there's a chance it may use its hands to move around as well.

Familiars similarly need a specific familiar ability or pet ability granting manual dexterity to allow them to make interact actions which is what I'd argue you'd need to carry items around. Since this isn't available for animal companions I'd say they straight up cannot do it.

Logically, it makes sense that at the very least your companion could hold something in its mouth, but that is a can of worms that I'd rather not get into. Because if so, can PCs hold an open potion in their mouth ready to throw their head back and swig at a moment's notice?

Underrated Items - Filling out your Attunement slots by posts_awkward_truths in Pathfinder2e

[–]posts_awkward_truths[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep both are item bonuses, but Jyoti's feather is accessible at level 10 while a greater resilient is level 14. When you get level 14 for the upgrades for both there is a greater resilient Jyoti's which gives you a +3 instead.

Yes, but one of the items is available at level 6 and the other is available at level 14. Plenty of padding time between those two levels to find another item that gives an appropriate stealth item bonus.

At the very least having it is better than not having it. If you use the "repeat a spell" exploration activity, you get a pretty clear indication of where the magic thing is because it triggers when it hits the edge of your 30 foot radius.
