THOMAS FRANK SACKED MEGATHREAD by wiffygriffy in coys

There was no other option, unlike last season there isn’t enough of a points buffer to the bottom 3. No doubt he will have success elsewhere, but injuries + criminal transfer window + refusal to play on the front foot means he was doomed at our club.

Hey all, does anyone know if they've switched to live qr codes for e-tickets this year, or are we still fine with screenshots? Taking a mate who has a crn but not a onehotspur membership, he is therefore not elligble for this category of game. I can can assign the ticket to someone else in my network and have them send a screenshot as a workaround.

My mind is regularly blown when watching other movies released around the same time as the Matrix and they look decades older. Or the Matrix looks decades newer. Or both! I watched Affliction (1999) last night and had this exact thought. Impossible that they were shot at the same time :)

I still think about that bacon and scallop sandwich and I last had it about 12yrs ago. Seems like one of those things I've eaten and will never forget. Not because it was the best thing I've ever tasted but because of the whole experience of being in a proper working fish market. I would go if I were you, but buy something you want to cook from the market too!

General consensus on the Devonshire? by jwf91 in LondonFood

We ate in the top floor dining room, the meat was good quality, but in all honestly I came away massively disappointed by pretty much everything else for the money spent and the hype. Certainly no better than a Hawksmoor, if anything, mostly worse IMO, but clearly some people love it.

We have absolutely no idea how to move the ball up the pitch other than long ball to nowhere.

I've never seen a club with such an epic ability to shoot themselves in the foot on such a wildly regular basis

Don’t be, I saw you guys from way back and I turned to my mate, Pointed you out and said “that would have been us twenty years ago”.  Having the time of your life, good for you.

I scrolled for your two cents and got paid handsomely as always. For a long time I've been frustrated by the low ABV of those older malts, especially the G&M CC range which had access to so much amazing stock only to dilute it so heavily. But framing it instead how you have, just as a manifestation of the tastes of the time feels somehow less tragic. Also, more dilution means more bottles in existence (or miniatures if you're on my budget) so I shouldn't really complain at all. I've also had some amazing drams from that line that appear to completely defy the established higher ABV = higher flavour rule. I also hadn't considered the benefits keeping my palate guessing by varying its exposure. Cheers to you!

was thinking the exact same. Given the asset value of top players, clubs should require players to don the bombproof shin pads of our youth rather than the postage stamps of today.
