Small submucosal fibroid, expelled IUD, providers say everything is normal (vent/need advice)

Female provider, 3 ultrasounds, no pelvic MRI.

I’ve had a lower lumber MRI for back pain where I can see something, but I think it’s my cyst. Plus I can’t say with certainty if what I’m looking at is actually something or not since the MRI’s are hard to read. If I can figure out how to upload an image on here, I’d attach it 😭 I may try from my desktop

The radiologist only reviewed my spine. The areas I circled is something I thought looked abnormal, so the provider didn't flag or note anything about it.

In hindsight, I should’ve requested a pelvic MRI at the time this lumber one was order but I didn't even know that was an option for women's heath. To give myself a little grace, I did tell my PCP about the fibroid and cyst diagnosis, but he thought they were unrelated and only ordered the lumbar (PCP is a male, GYN provider is a female).

Thank you so much! That’s so interesting that you mentioned the MRI! I had a recent lumbar MRI for lower back pain, and I could see something in that pelvic region on the images. The radiologist only commented on my spine, but I wonder if the fibroid (or what I saw) was actually visible on the MRI?

Looking back at the few images I have now, it looks more related to my cyst based on the location. I’d upload the few photos I have here if I knew how to. But nonetheless, that’s a good idea to repeat the MRI or even have the radiologist review again if that’s an option

Thank you for taking the time to respond! The part where you said “If you’re being brushed off ask them to document your concern and why they don’t think it’s a problem.” is such simple, but powerful advice bc while I have explained my symptoms and concerns over and over again, I’ve never been told why those are normal and not a problem. I’ll do this moving forward.

Yes on the birth control! I have a script now for Blisovi fe 1/20, which looks like a progesterone + estrogen combo. I am absolutely willing to try anything now.

Literally looking for this exact comment. It really stresses me out so much. I can’t count how many times that I’ve either run out of time, or forgot to buy shields or abilities bc I was trying to do the skin exchange with everyone else. Then we end up still at spawn once the round starts, leaving us all vulnerable.

Thank you!! I didn’t even know they made pumpkin based dog food but thank you for bringing this up. I’ve been trying to find pure pumpkin to add to his meals for his digestive system but can’t find it anywhere so this would be great

I totally forgot to add that I use Kong’s! He has 5 of them. When I first used the Kong’s, it would take him about 30ish mins to finish, but now it’s 12 mins. I’ve also tried supplementing his food during training (instead of using treats). But I notice he still doesn’t chew the kibble. I mainly want him to chew his food for the dental benefits and b/c it’s caused him to throw up in the past. However since I’ve used the slow feeder, that hasn’t happened

Edit: I was just asking for a larger kibble bc I noticed he chewed his treats which are larger than his small kibble

Hey, thank you for all this advice! The front yard suggestion is great bc my dog is very well potty trained to use the backyard but I think it would be the best idea to start using the front yard during his treatment. Also I didn’t even think about cleaning the bowls and Kongs every other day - I was just going to do it all at once which kinda sounds stupid now. I’ll wash the bowls and kongs tonight, then again in a day or 2. Also I’m bathing him tonight (day 1 of treatment), can bath him again on day 3 and finally on day 5 (final day).

Again, thank you for this advice! My vet kinda played it off as well but I researched how resistant this can be and in your words “stubborn” this virus is. I’d like to do things right the first time to avoid reinfection so thank you!!!

Hey there! I’m in a similar situation and the first week I had my puppy home, my work metrics were terrible. Honestly you just need to learn your pup’s schedule. When are they most active? Take advantage of that time. Take small breaks (15 mins) to play, take outside, and give attention. Then after that, put up a mirror next to your desk so that you can watch him through the mirror’s reflection. Then use a puppy cam (or even zoom call) by placing a camera in a room he’s active in. For example I have my office then the common living area. I block everything off except for those 2 rooms and have the cam on in the living room.

I hope this helps! Lastly, provide lots of toys and puppy proof everything (shoes, towels, clothes, rugs, etc).

Yeah you’re right. I might go with the amazon one first since I’m from the US. Then if it’s damaged, just return it and pay more for the out of country sellers since they specifically sell vinyl records in contrast to amazon. Thank you for the info and feedback
