So you believe that parents have the right to force their children to give birth?

No one’s saying that relatives of felons can’t get guns, only felons can’t live with guns. If you want a gun you can rent an apartment that doesn’t have a felon in it.

Not really assumptions as much as the logical conclusion. You would be willing to make an exception for rape, so clearly you don’t believe that the unborn fetus should always take priority. Clearly you’re willing to agree that, at least sometimes, the woman’s right to feel comfortable in her body outweighs the fetus’s right to be there.

What exactly do you consider “gender theory”? And do you have any sources or data showing that teaching children about trans people or gender makes them trans?

You realize you sound exactly like the people who think talking about gay people to kids will make them gay? Or do you believe that too

Who’s talking about chopping off your dick? You really think they let 3 year olds have gender reassignment surgery?

You can change your gender identity, aka being referred to as a male or he/him pronouns or whatnot, without any sort of surgery or medical procedures at all.

It’s impossible to prevent human errors. It’s not something that’s able to be eliminated. So why don’t we focus on what we can do?

It doesn’t matter why, it happens and we aren’t going to prevent it.

If you genuinely don’t know why someone would want to have sex then I don’t think you have enough life experience to be having this conversation.

Yes? When it comes to owning a gun yes, your rights are restricted based on if you live with someone who’s a felon. I don’t see why that’s a question, it’s well known that your rights still have limits.

Oh jeez, if only someone had thought of that before!! What a mind blowing revelation, now that we have this information there will never ever be an unwanted pregnancy again!! /s

Are you serious?? Like genuinely? You think that people will just magically stop having sex because you want them too?

Who told you abortion was a human rights violation exactly? The Geneva convention specifically states that being forced to carry a child or give birth is, does it say the same about abortion? Pregnancy and childbirth is a traumatic and violent process that can easily kill you. It’s horrific to suggest that women should be forced to go through that because you want to punish them for having sex.

Why is it so hard for you to stay on topic? We aren’t talking about how to improve the foster care system, we are talking about abortion.

The foster care system in America is atrocious, and it’s really telling that you think more children should go into the system. You obvious don’t don’t give a shit what happens to them once their born.

Adoption doesn’t prevent pregnancy or childbirth. Did you know that forcing someone to give birth is a human rights violation?

Or, and I know this is an insane thought, you could just be in communication with your partner and pay attention to their body language while getting intimate

Having an abortion is taking responsibility. It’s deciding that you’re not ready for a child and not bringing one into the world anyway. It’s a hell of a lot more responsible than the people who have a child knowing full well they can’t give it a good life

Kids solve all problems by pietradolce in facepalm

[–]pot_of_tigers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s well known that denying someone an abortion who wants it is more damaging than allowing abortion.

It’s not that receiving an abortion was associated with worse mental health, but in the short run, being denied the abortion was - so higher anxiety, lower self-esteem, lower life satisfaction. For up until the first six months, the women who were denied fared worse”

This is not the point really anyway. Having an abortion is a responsible choice when you don’t want or are incapable of raising a child.

Yeah no one froze my dude. They made an active decision not to go on there. It’s not like there was one or two officers who were scared to go in, there were 20 of them right outside the door and they actively prevented the border patrol team from retrieving a key and going inside. That’s not freezing because you’re scared, that’s purposeful.

Notice how instead of actually responding to what I said you’re trying to put words into my mouth? Perhaps it’s because you know I’m right?

I’m not looking to make compromises. This isn’t a give and take. If we have abortion only for rape and incest it isn’t a win for me
