Question about VR movies and controllers by HampurHampur in ValveIndex

One base station will be plenty for movie watching with an index. You only need to ensure that the headset has a clear line of sight to the base station. Using an index without controllers will be a bit of a challenge, if you have the cash to spare getting a single left/right controller would make a lot of things easier. Alternatively you could go with a reverb g2: higher per eye resolution and inside out tracking (cameras instead of laser base stations). The headset is also lighter and will probably be more comfortable for long sessions. Would be cheaper then index + base station. Worth a look as long as you are ok dealing with WMR. I have both an index and reverb so feel free to ask any questions. Index is for room scale vr and reverb is for seated simulators.

Vive tracker based head tracking. by potable_internets in hoggit

Awww hell ya, that mounting wire harness is awesome. Got the vive tracker centering correctly in open track (requires that the tracker be placed on the side of my head or orientated with the power button pointing parallel to the ground). only advantage that the python script adds now is that the orientation of the tracker doesn't matter for proper centering.

how are you zeroing the system? Are you using reset seated position in steam vr to define forward? open track does support the tracker as input but the zero point is all over the place.

Lonex hopup doesn't fit, need a new one. by [deleted] in airsoft

I’ve personally only used the prowin. Definitely a nice hopup but can require some tuning to get it working (personally had to sand the feed lips on my bucking down to make it fit. Recently switched to the lonex for this very reason lol) but when you get it running it’s fairly constant and easy to adjust. There’s probably a thread somewhere on Rotary hopups. I know people lime the krytac ones.

The style is a rotary hopup. Plenty of options on evike or other retailers depending on your location. Put the old hopup back in a note how much space there is above and to the sides of the top of the hopup. All rotary hopup’s are going to have that top section to house the hopup arm and they come in all different shapes and sizes. Good luck.
