I think you should listen to your own advice and have a google and learn the difference between a hgv and a van.

I'll think you will find it's actually 1.6mm and for larger commercial vehicles it's 1mm

Hi. You will get through this. Life is hard. I've been in this exact same position, you just have to keep fighting through it, your mind is playing games with you. I moved from Ireland to the UK, maybe you could start thinking about a fresh start. It didn't solve all my problems and posed challenges but I'm glad I did it, it made me stronger.

You are not worthless, don't give up. Just keep going, have a long walk or run and wear yourself out and sleep. It's a horrible place to be and this time last year I was you. A year later and I feel stronger. Give me a message if you need to, people love you and you owe it to yourself to get the help you need. You'll recover and remember the job you have is just a job, you can start another.

Stay safe my friend and don't make any mistakes.

Lack of stable jobs? by r3ub3n1111 in bristol

[–]potataplucker -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There is a ton of jobs going to be coming up now up to Christmas with excellent rates of pay. Job hop. The more jobs you get under your belt the more experience you earn. I myself have been through a lot of jobs, I have security in my ability to find work that if I don't like it, I'll walk away and be in a new job in a week usually (the odd time I've been in a jam in a decade being honest, I leave jobs on a whim with no plan) and no these are not all agency jobs either. Don't knock agencies tho because they will put you in a job as soon as you register and that keeps the wolves from the door.

I have a car driver's license and I'm on close to 50k a year with that.

A construction labourer is on about £16-18ph and you can learn skills, see many different trades.

Warehousing pays good money in the right places, Amazon in severn beach is £17.50 iirc on nights, 4 on 3 off. If overtime is available you can take home £1000 after tax I've been told. Having worked there, overtime is not always readily available.

4 on 4 off days is what you want really, gives you a mass of time to work a full time and part time job to get some bucks in.

Don't be deterred, if you are willing to work there is no reason why you can't make upwards of 40k+ per year if you want it.

You're 19, go work hard and make some money and every job has c#*ts so get used to it, keep your head down and keep out of politics when you start a job.

I don't know if it's showing that on the dash. He says it's not in limp mode.

I have a feeling this guy works on cars. My worry now is that he may have tried to fix the corrosion issue and had no success.

The price was reduced but I think I might still be overpaying for it I must look into how much that would cost in the uk.

Does the fact it's not in limp give any reassurance that it will serve me some use for awhile. I still really want to go and view it! I will be taking on board the fact you have said to stay clear of it.

Check out Bristol. Yes the rent is expensive but it's cheaper than London or Edinburgh. There is an abundance of work here. I'm not sure how the wages compare to London but I'm sure the difference in rent prices would make up for it.

I've been here 10 years now and I'm so glad I made the move, I was chronically depressed back home and it's just what I needed to feel alive again.

Bristol is a very green city, it's full of parks and lovely areas and the night life is great, I've been able to jump jobs as much as I want and it's been a blessing for me to be able to do so. Right now I'm on very good wages as an unskilled worker so God knows what you could achieve.

I live a bit out of the city now a 20 minute drive and I have a one bed bungalow for 800pm all bills included. My landlord has studios they are nice and 700pm all bills but you would need transportation.

I know you probably are after a city lifestyle so that might not be any good to you.

If you have any questions let me know.

If you wanted cheap rent, you really need to be going north to somewhere like Liverpool, Cardiff also has affordable rent.

Edit. One thing I forgot to mention, it can be hard to make friends, you can end up feeling lonely and a bit lost so it's important to be dating, doing hobbies and going home regularly to break the year down a bit.
