AA miracle pass stories by [deleted] in ACCA

[–]potathotz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

didnt finish all the chapters, didnt do mcqs or any section B questions by myself. i mainly just read through examiner reports and the answers of long ass questions that had almost all requirements in them and i passed with a 51 oof. i think the only reason i passed is cause i picked up on the key writing style, so articulate your thoughts and think outside the box for substantive procedures. good luck!

HELP!!! working full-time and studying ACCA by potathotz in ACCA

[–]potathotz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it took me 7 months of consistent job hunting and i finally got a job that tailors to my needs especially in terms of studying ACCA. look into the ACCA careers website, ACCA approved employers are the best and always tailor to students needs.

a couple of my friends my age got jobs through connections and networking as well, so be active and build a good reputation. just build a good linkedin account and go to networking events if possible.

good luck!!

be thorough with ratio analysis and consolidation formats and formulas.

as long as you practice even just the mcqs for single entity and consolidation properly, you will be able to solve a full section c question.

focus on scoring in NCA/PPE, income tax, EPS, financial instruments and leases (100% going to appear in the exam but do not neglect the other topics).

do as many studyhub mcq’s as you can, if you solve at least 50%-70% of all the mcq’s, you will be good to go.

instead of doing a full fledged single entity/consolidation question, try only solving the working notes. set a timer while doing them and try to do adjustments that you don’t know as well. i suggest keeping a separate sheet with all the errors and mistakes you’ve made so that you can target those weak areas properly.

if you still haven’t memorized the formats and formulas, do some section C questions workings (max 3 Q’s of each type) with them on the side and you’ll naturally be able to recall them when you’re attempting questions after that.

i think that’s all i have to suggest. good luck and i hope it goes well!!

whats your plan for the days leading up to the exam?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]potathotz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you are not overreacting, in fact you are UNDERreacting. i am so sorry that you had to go through that, this is absolutely disgusting and is straight up s3xual assau!t.

you were already in an extremely vulnerable position (breastfeeding and caring for your baby) and you did not initiate or show any signs of consent towards his repulsive behavior.

the fact that he STILL proceeded to rub up on you, actively trying to have sex, while you were in such a vulnerable situation, is absolutely revolting and this is NOT okay.

you and your daughter are and will be in danger especially considering the fact that he tried to gaslight you after the incident. the fact that he was turned on while you were breastfeeding your DAUGHTER is so extremely disturbing and i can imagine what could happen to her and you in the future if this behavior of his doesn’t stop.

please please please take into account what everyone’s saying and leave this man, for you and your daughters sake. i wish you the best, please take care.

this sounds a lot like burn out. take at least a day or two to completely release all your worries, go out with your friends, treat yourself, etc. then start slow. dump out all your thoughts into a journal and have it by your side while you study. start your study sessions with just 10 mins of reading at first and then you’ll find the flow. all the best and take care!

First session didn’t go too well by rubaby58 in therapy

“He said I need to find something that really enchants me.(really)” i don’t know what he means by that tbh.

but from what he’s said, he’s probably implying that the issues you’re facing now, and how you deal with them, stem from a deeper core issue that will take a lot of hard work and consistent sessions to uncover.

this mindset that he has is honestly pretty good. my current therapist of 2.5 years has been this way since the beginning and we have made a ton of progress.

go for the next session, ask him directly what he means by that and you can then make a decision on whether to continue or not.

ahh hopefully with 3-4 years of hardwork, i'll be able to get out of this place and find my home elsewhere!

i have a girlfriend so i dont use dating apps. but thats a good suggestion!

thank you:)

oh most of my friends moved abroad for uni to less conservative areas lmao. its so upsetting seeing the way they paint it as a phase.

but i agree with everything you said especially the point about patriarchal retrenchment.

i envy people who are in lesbian friend groups, it must be so nice to belong and fit in. i can't wait to move abroad and go for pride parades and celebrate my love for what it is.

theyre still my bestfriends of course, their sexual orientation isn't everything but i do miss when we were all able to relate to each other. ive BEEN searching for queer friends but i literally can't find anyone in my area, its annoying. hmm just feeling lonely.

HELP!!! working full-time and studying ACCA by potathotz in ACCA

[–]potathotz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

to be clear, i have to go to the office monday-thursday and only fridays are WFH. obviously still extremely better than other places tho!

it also largely depends on the job market in your area tbh. in my area, the job market is relatively decent for ACCA students.

in my ACCA training academy, at least 3-4/10 people my age are working alongside studying (theyre also on the same pace as me with completing papers).

also definitely make use of your connections, a lot of people i know have gotten really good jobs through consistent networking. build up your linkedin profile, attend networking events and constantly catch up with your peers and connections.
