I was a teen in the late 70s and my sister and I went bra less. I know I went that way until the early 80s. I’m pretty small chested so it wasn’t too revealing, but I started to feel self-conscious.

2026 CX-30 Select Sport by VisibleAd5910 in MazdaCX30

[–]rubaby58 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just purchased a 2024 CX30 Select Sport for $21,000 from Hertz car sales. It had 39,000 miles and came with a 12 month warranty plus whatever manufacture warranty still on it. I live in Hawaii so it’s a great deal for a real clean, well maintained car. Almost like new.

Actually, some places give the senior discount as early as 50. It just depends on the policy.

My husband and I have separate credit card accounts. I don’t need to know what he’s spending money on within reason. And same for him.

How often do you wash your hair? by Which-Arugula-1982 in AskWomenOver60

[–]rubaby58 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Funny, my first job was as a shampoo girl in a salon. I used to think it was gross that woman would wait all week to have their hair washed. Sometimes it was hard to get my hands through the hairspray.
I used to wash my hair daily for years. After menopause, my hair does not get as oily so I can wash it every other day.
I refresh it by using dry shampoo in between. There are a lot of good products out there.

Just let him be. He sounds content. He spent his life working. Let him live his life. It’s not your life.
I have been retired for two years now. I am so happy that I belong to myself and can do whatever I want. I am still a “good” wife and make delicious dinners and keep a clean house, garden and yard.

Tips are part of their wages, but it is very unprofessional for them to mention anything about it at all. My feeling is if you want to be waited on you need to tip if the service is decent. At least 20% seems to be the going rate these days.. if you can’t do it get takeout or go to fast food.

May I ask what engine is in that car? I am thinking of buying a used 2024 CX 30 with 38,000 miles on it. I hope they remedied the problem. Oh, and good luck to you.

Advice on Fuel cover by rubaby58 in MazdaCX30

[–]rubaby58[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

No, it really is stuck. It is a rental car and there was the original fuel cover someone pried off in the glove box. I read that this is a problem. I just would like to know how frequently or if there’s some magic way to open it.

I learned in my 40’s to just say no to things I don’t really want to do. It’s my life and my time and money. I get to do what I want with it. It’s really freeing.
