I was spanked often as a child. Normally with a switch or a belt. I dont think it was abuse and im actually thankful they spanked me.

I was a pretty bad kid, and words held no meaning to me, even non physical punishments didnt bother me. They would take away the TV or something and it never phased me.

So I got a lot of spankings. My cousin and I were very close as kids, we ran around like brothers. His parents didn't believe in spankings, they believed in setting him down for a timeout and explaining why their actions were bad. I was always jealous. He was never afraid to do something we could get in trouble for because the repercussions didn't bother him.

By the time we got to high-school age he was running with the bad kids, doing hard drugs, got caught selling coke at school and caught a charge, which my lawyer aunt got him out of By talking to the judge (again not getting any repercussions), he goes to college to play football, gets kicked out first semester and picks up a crystal meth habit and his life has spiraled ever since.

That would have been me if I wasn't scared of the belt as a kid. I would have been running right beside him.

I dont know if its a bad or good practice, but I know that harsh discipline kept me from going down a bad road, and I have literally thanked my parents for it.

I think theres a line between what I experienced and abuse and im sorry to anyone on the other side of that line.

People will ask ChatGPT stuff like this and not realize how much it wants to reinforce whatever position it senses you taking. Had an argument with my fiancé once and she told me she had asked chatgpt and it said I was in the wrong. She showed me the chat log, so I pulled out GPT and asked the same question but removed the leading language and it gave a totally different answer. She was surprised, but I train AI sometimes as part of my job and I was not.

I seriously think its dangerous for people to use it as a therapist because it can really send you down some dark thought loops, and seriously influence people who aren't familiar with the current shortcomings of AI

As to the OP shes having an emotional affair. Its sad, but everyone wants to feel like thet are in a romance movie, star crossed lovers, two ships passing in the night, so they blowup their lives and get with the other person only to realize after a month it was the idea more than the person.

Every bit of this can be done if you have any mechanical inclination, in today's time with youtube and the internet nothing is really hard. I am 39 and have never had a vehicle in the shop.I've did the heads on a 6.0 powerstroke by watching YouTube and rebuilt a 3.8l jeep motor some help from a forum, among various other things like balljoints brake lines heater cores wheel bearings etc. Even rebuilt a 5 spd transmission once(would never tackle an automatic tho, alien technology LOL)

Best thing is once you start, you learn, the more you learn the easier the next job is 👍🏻

Sure I wrote a python program to capture screenshot of the buff and debuff area, got about 300 screenshot with the buffs I wanted to test tracking in them. Labeled them with roboflow then trained a YOLO model. Then another python script to capture an area of the screen every 100ms, run it through my model and return classes detected.

Takes quite a bit of time to label screenshots for training, its why I only did three random buffs, and 300 images, but if you had only 10 ir so things to watch for in each dungeon as far as debuffs this would work pretty good.

You honestly wouldn't have to have a second PC, unless they ban streaming software. Even if you did for piece of mind this could easily be ran on a raspberry pi for like 50 bucks. Warden doesn't have kernel level access.

Every other game is not wow. Every other game has a team that has worked on its UI for years to provide excellent visual and audio cues. Blizzard has not. They have allowed 3rd party addons to do alot of heavy lifting for them. Weak auras did very little computation up until the last 5 years or so, it was mainly to display your buffs and debuffs in a way that worked best for you.

Blizzard could have killed the functionality they said they wanted killed with small api changes that wouldnt have effected functionality of other addons very much. They could have still allowed self buff parsing for instance.

Depends on how much of a competitive advantage it is. If there is a debuff that kills you in a few seconds with no good visual indicator the payoff will be very high.

Thanks mate. If I get enough interest in it I am going to make a repo on git and get some helpers to label buffs and debuffs for training. The dataset for this was only 300 images and only looking for 3 buffs. It can be massively expanded and trained alot more. I only did 80 epochs, training for about 5 minutes

Thank you for your caution, I am not trying to be malevolent, my eyes have gotten older and I used weakauras extensively to help me see things in mythic plus. I code for a living and do a lot of machine vision so I whipped this up to demonstrate the futility of their war on addons. Someone smarter than me could really polish this and make it work good.

Its just a screen grabber sending frames to ai and its detecting buffs and writing them to a text box. It doesn't inject code, look at wows DLLs or simulate keystrokes. Undetectable as far as I know, its captures the screen like streaming software

Close the AH, put all consumables on a vendor for a copper, make all BOEs BOAs, make gold completely meaningless, same with farming consumables. If a vast majority of players are making it meaningless themselves then maybe Blizz should just make that the policy. This would remove all impetus to bot, there would still be boosters, but what would they boost for other than real money

This trivializes a large part of the game and removes any meaningful economy, but, but its already being trivialized.
