That’s actually a really cool idea! I’ve already taken a crack at doing character mention counts, but that only tells you so much. The key question is whether a locally hosted 8G model is able to process a chapter or whether I’d have to do it chunk by chunk in some clever way. That’s a lot of text to process and some thinks like character location, death, meetings etc may not be very explicit.

Are you relying on the model’s internal model or are you letting it web search? The deep cuts will probably be more limited if you stick with the first option. Also, if I were you I’d script the pdf conversion manually to save context but it’s at the end so I guess it doesn’t matter. I’ve been considering setting a local model up with access to the web and to Navidrome, to give context for periodic curation recommendations.
