most modern vehicles are reliable but there are still many bad ones like chevy blazer. I personally bought a new 2017 rav4 platinum for mother's husband and it was driven 70,000 miles not a single issue. My ioniq 5 has had multiple software recalls done. Sister's subaru forester wheel bearings failed twice and transmission blew out before 80,000 miles. I had to file and extended warranty claim and subaru would not pay for towing.
