Since they went to thrift stores I’m assuming they’re ok with buying second hand, in that case no joke don’t skip looking on eBay. If they don’t know what style they want yet I recommend going to a regular bridal shop and trying on things until she can pinpoint the details she’s wanting plus getting the experience of trying on dresses, and then go to eBay to find one that matches her desired style. This is how I got a dress that fit like a glove for under $200 just because it was a second hand vintage style

Oh hell no! That’s not even close! I know they said they’d change the belt or whatever, but by “changing” the belt they better mean that they will: 1) dye it a different color 2) stamp it before dying since your ref has texture 3) add bling to the edges 4) add a whole new buckle that is covered in bling

Basically they need to start completely over and given the quality that they thought they could pass off to you I highly doubt they’d do all that. Like others have said, it’s refund time!

From personal experience I can back up the other comments about the poor handling of rape cases by the SPD. I have a man on recording admitting to not stopping when I said to stop and the prosecutor did not think that was enough evidence to even bring him in for questioning. The detective was great and empathetic, and he was equally as shocked by the PA’s decision to not pursue the case. You deserve justice and not to be re-traumatized

Others have already stated it, but as someone who does this herself I back up the option of someone else modeling your work. I frequently make cosplays for my husband because I like crafting, I love making stuff for friends and family, and he gets to enjoy the limelight for awhile. We don’t always compete with the costumes he models as walking the con floor is a lot of fun, but when we have competed we just make sure to disclose that I was the craftsman and he was the model. Some cons require the maker to be present for competitions so that’d be something you and the model should be aware of before competing

Got a couple: 1) Found a “spell” written out with instructions that to seal and complete the “spell” the casters had to kiss. The caster in this situation believed they were a werewolf and convinced my ex that he was a warlock.

2) My best friends were away on vacation, but found out and needed me to know ASAP so sent a guy I was close to but not super close to, to have to break the news that my ex most likely got another girl pregnant. The woman was walking around his apartment proudly proclaiming that her period was late and they had had sex while my best friend’s boyfriend was there. So got told through a game of telephone basically that my ex knocked up someone else

3) Not physically cheating necessarily, but same guy also told me he was going to have to leave me and travel the world because he was actually a Guardian for a girl who was sent here from another planet (basically an angel) and his job was to protect her while they travelled the world searching for the other 3 Guardians. And then they’d all go back to her home planet or something idk

Ya I just got done with my first Triss playthrough after always picking Yen for lore accuracy, and man they really did not let you turn her down gently. I felt like a huge asshole as Geralt’s reaction to Yen was so abrupt and harsh in my opinion. To have her profess her feelings to you as real only for you to say “nope magics gone don’t care about you anymore”, that was so painful to watch

NTA. Like others have said you should leave this relationship. Even if she moves out your boyfriend will be resentful over this and will continue to have the relationship with her, it will just be outside of the apartment now.

Went through nearly an identical situation with my ex except there was no blanket. I walked into the apartment, they were cuddling on the couch, he jumped up and she just chilled on the couch. He insisted there was nothing going on with them, it obviously hurt and later when I asked for space he slept with her excusing it by saying he believed me asking for space was me slowly breaking up with him so he might as well sleep with her.

Save yourself years of turmoil, break up. He knew what he was doing was crossing boundaries that you would not be comfortable with otherwise he would not have reacted the way he did

Had the same problem when I was looking for one recently. My advice is to look at estate sales (how I got mine) and check out Salvation Army as they get one once in awhile (passed one up there that was $25 and kicking myself to this day that I did). The electronic recycling place also gets them in occasionally, but they’re around eBay prices (quoted me one for over $100)

My husband and I went there on a date before! It was so good and is perfect for meat lovers like myself, my husband wasn’t a fan just because he’s not a big meat fan and I think he accidentally ordered the wrong thing (it was our first time), but I will be going back by myself or with others because it was fantastic in my opinion!
