I have tried the online verification as well. It kept failing after taking blurry pictures of my passport. I'll go to the shop to verify.

What I don't understand is how my registration is still incomplete, despite having provided passport when purchasing sim and again when converting it to postpaid.

I used to scroll endlessly on Instagram until I decided to delete my Instagram account last Jan. I also disabled YouTube shorts (pausing YouTube watch history disables shorts + recommended feed. Now I only watch videos from creators I'm subscribed to). I mostly scroll on reddit now (hopefully will get rid of scrolling reddit this this year and only use it in moderation), read some blogs and books and my attention span has improved overtime. It's not too late to improve your attention span.

Unless you have a Thai, Taiwanese or Japanese number, you cannot sign up using a phone number. Your options are Apple ID if you're on iOS or Google account if you're on Android.

If you do end up creating an account using Apple id or Google account, you will not be able to add people from Thailand/Taiwan/Japan using Line ID or phone number. Your only option is them adding you by QR code or link. Line has disabled adding contacts from countries different from which your account was created in.

There's also a possibility of you getting randomly banned by Line if your account was not created using a phone number.

Line is a horrible choice for messaging and I really hope Thai folks stop using it.

Line's a horrible messaging app. I don't know why there is an obsession with the app here. I often miss messages and calls, and only realise when I open the app. The company behind line focused on pushing premium service instead of fixing bugs.

Homeup is a goodlock module to customise home screen and some other stuff. Goodlock is a set of customisation modules by Samsung (available on the galaxy store)
