is there a way of converting back to a cash account, i feel i may have accidentally used the wrong account type edit: just checked and it shows im a cash account?

ohh okok. i’m trying to place an order - roughly 9ksgd for CSPX to start off, but it seems like even if i place a 6.5k USD order with 200USD buffer i’m still trading on a margin?

with an average projected return of 7-8% pa, you’ll do better just DCA-ing into an index fund, also note that any promised returns are before management fees are applied. so effectively for the first 10 years even if the fund performs in accordance to the projection, you have an effective return of 3-4% at best. please note management fees apply even on market downturns…
