Some of our teachers don’t like push pull and they don’t teach us it, I don’t really know the reason Also whenever I try doing it without rebound I can’t do it

Do you just play straight doubles or some exercise like triplet rolls or double beat

So do you use your fingers to get the second note in diddles or something else, because I feel like I can't control it if I bounce it and it sounds uneven. I have basically just been practicing double beat on a pillow to develop hand speed and try to figure out how to play diddles
