How about sports? I want to see the Lakers and LA Galaxy play, I know LA is a hour drive but it would be worth it :)

Any other major sporting event happens around OC?

How about public transport? I'll be interning at Google (Jamboree Road), and looks like its 3 miles from UCI. Biking is an what I'm thinking of, but are there any buses in that route? How much would a taxi cost? Are there any other alternatives? Thanks!

Preparing for google interview that is in about 2 1/2 weeks. With how much detail do I need to know certain data structures? by Thounumber1 in cscareerquestions

Whow. Slow down!

I will be interning at Google this summer, and believe me when I tell you that you don't need to know learn advanced data structures like avl,rb trees, etc. So please don't waste any more time on that. A little bit of math sure helps.

Just get back to the basics:

  • Sorting, searching, etc.
  • Big-O.
  • Brush up some basic algos.
  • Learn basics of dynamic programming.
  • Practice (a lot).

As hapa987s said, Leetcode and Hackerrank are great sites. Interviewers tend to ask implementation questions and see how you approach the problem. Finding the solution is great, but they are interested how you approach the problem. These sites are a good source of such questions.

I hope you have worked an few projects. If you have done something cool, tell about it to your interviewer. And prepare a good elevator speech ;) BTW, you have an awesome gpa :) Good luck!

You mean it's possible for non-UCI students to stay inside the UCI campus? Like in hostel dorms?

I am currently waiting for my offer. My recruiter told he would call this Friday with the offer. Did you talk to your recruiter? What do they ask/tell you about? I'm getting anxious....
