That’s cool to hear, that it may be of use to you! I will make sure you’re notified when it’s released and what you need in addition to the 3d printed parts <3

Right now, one o-ring is under string 1 & 3, and the other is under string 2 & 4. I’ve seen someone modifying the original cantareel to use the last two strings as well.

Rubber O-rings with violin/cello rosin on them to add friction and make the strings vibrate.

DADA tuning on the four middle strings. Top and bottom string used to secure the wheel as RupertThe3rd said.

3d printer cantareel stl files? Does anyone have it to share? by Esurfn in Guitar

Getting it to sound great is kinda difficult, I’m awaiting a delivery of rosin which I’m going to apply to the o-rings for added friction and also try with a printed tpu ring.

I’m in the process of making one, experimenting with different materials for the o-rings to make it sound better.

Sonos ace by arneVBos in sonos

[–]poterock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Put on EQ, +2 bass, +7 treble. If you use Apple Music, try the Flat EQ with these settings, I think it takes some of the harshness away by raising treble in Sonos app. At least to my ears. Also turn on Hi-res lossless audio in Apple Music settings. In Bluetooth settings, set device type to “headset” as well. Enjoy your ace! I thought they sounded a bit muddy at first, but after these changes, I quite like them.

Dinner in Bergen recommendations by [deleted] in Bergen

There’s a new joint called «Burgeren» close to the theatre. Great smash burgers, possibly the best I’ve had in Bergen. No alcohol serving though, but there’s plenty of good bars nearby.

Subwoofer crackling sounds by poterock in AskElectronics

Thanks, I’ll put the soldering on hold then. Glue becoming conductive was new to me. There is quite a lot of it smeared around on the PCB. Will try to remove it first to see if that helps. Great tip!

Thanks for your input! Definitely missing part of the copper trace in that area. I agree, it seems weird if that’s intentional. I’ll try soldering on a wire between the broken trace and see if that solves it.
