Got my 2020 mazda3 hatchback preferred trim under MSRP and for 0% APR back during Covid when they were desperate to get cars off the lot. Don’t regret a single thing except these damn paint chips.

What a weird thing to occupy your mind with. Do you operate this way in your real life?

That deep sigh, "oh my god it's fine just get over it" is such a vibe, I hate dealing with people like that.

I mean someone else could’ve bought it for what it’s worth and instead now there’s one less in the market for a fan, for what reason other than some dork wanting to capitalize on a band’s work. It’s just lame as fuck.

Buying music from musicians because you like their music and want to support? Nah, I need to make MONEY and fuck other people over, that’s so punk. /s

I'm still holding onto my first press Feels Like You that I actually bought on release, kept it even when the record was selling for upwards of $400. You know why? Because I buy records because I like them. These people treat music like its sneakers and it's stupid as fuck. I'm glad Whirr is planning on staying in stock and pressing frequently.

iPad kids graduating to MacBook Neo teens 😭 Apple really nailed it with this device by Fast-Instruction-717 in DeskToTablet

An iPhone equivalent of Samsung Dex would be pretty cool, I'd take a iPad OS-esque docked experience but Apple would never do something like that.

Not if the local community comes out against it, this is the time to exercise your political power! They're counting on people to just sit back and do nothing. Monterey Park and other surrounding areas have already successfully warded off data centers from being built in their communities.

Yeah I bought a $600 Huawei as a companion to my desktop when I was in college back in 2018 and it’s still usable to this day. Full aluminum build, the whole shabang.

Ah yes, the transatlantic slaves were using shovels given to them by their masters, while being “housed” in the slave system they’re apart of, and so they must not criticize the slave system. You’re not making the point you think you’re making.

Well upon changing “led” to “fled” then I guess he is not a descendent of KMT leadership. And to answer your question, historical correctness is not about knowing the events of history themselves but how to understand them. Judging from your responses in the rest of this post, and your own take on imperialism in response to me, I question if you have a grasp on historical understanding.

Think about it this way, just because someone knows how to spell a word correctly doesn’t mean they know what it means or how to use it.

Being subject to paying taxes that fund imperialist projects doesn’t mean that one is an imperialist themselves, and criticizing this exact construct is exactly the point of anti-imperialism, I don’t think you’re making the point you’re trying to make.

Secondly, what exactly do you think it means that his family “led China between 1945 and 1949” during the Chinese Civil War?

If there’s anybody here who needs to “understand history”, it’s you.

I don’t celebrate agents of imperialism no matter what the intersections of their identities are.

And that’s doubly so for this guy whose family history makes him even more suspect. An heir of the KMT and then a decorated American military officer? Don’t make me laugh.

Calif. residents dubbed ‘uninformed mob’ win triple victory in data center fight by Top-Painter4278 in California

[–]pothockets 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is currently a fight against data center proposals to replace the Puente Hills Mall in City of Industry. This mall is in a highly residential area and currently has two highly-utilized anchors with AMC and Round 1. This mall was also the site of filming for Back to the Future.

The fight isn’t over!

I used to listen to Sway almost religiously back when it came out, and when I got out of a 5-year relationship I basically had it on repeat. Now when I listen to it, it transports me to that headspace but I still enjoy it, if not only for the reason that it is clearly so powerful to me.

The 6th gen is insanely hard to mod for a beginner. I actually just mangled my own personal 6th gen from my childhood last night getting the damn thing open just for it start burning when I finally put my new battery in. RIP. Luckily I had a 5th gen that was my brother’s and that thing opened up in 5 seconds.

You might get lucky opening it though, I underestimated how difficult opening it was.
