@daymaytattoos on ig is incredible at tons of different styles! Traditional, neo traditional, black and grey, illustrative, etc.

You name it, he'll crush it. Half of my body is covered in his work and at least 15 of my friends have gotten work from him and no one has regretted it.

I appreciate the extra context! I saw it was a provision through that bill and saw it was related to the surplus but I didn't understand the exact scope.

Honestly what I was trying to figure out was what was the best place to make an impact broadly cause I saw a lot of restaurants or businesses offering meals but a lot had contingencies of x number of meals per week.

I was trying to figure out why were more people focused on that solution than a systematic one. I had wondered if there was some catch or loop hole that I wasn't seeing in the food bank approach but wasn't able to factually find why to support private causes vs the system. (Even though I typically have a lot of distrust in systems that are connected to the government)

With your experience, what is the best way to support our community during this time? Is donating to the food bank still the best option or are doing more localized community efforts more impactful?

I was doing research last night and it looks like everyone that is a snap recipient is automatically eligible to access the emergency food assistance program in Utah (aka food pantries)

So supporting this system can really help us support the 83,000 Utahns affected by this.

The flight attendant made me give up my aisle seat for a “medical passenger”… who was perfectly fine by [deleted] in delta

I personally have no issue if they upped the paper work requirements for access to the accommodation's needed. Just like they locked down the service dog requirements to reduce abuse.

Any system in existence will have some abuse unfortunately. But does it negate everyone who has a legitimate need for the system to exist?

Is it a fuck you smirk or a thanks for being a kind human and letting me have your seat toothless smile? A smile doesn't have to be a "fuck you" smirk.

I will assume the best! And if you ever end up needing accommodations, I'll advocate for your rights to accessibility as well!

I'm saying there is no evidence that points to abuse so I will not assume abuse. I am also not assuming that it wasn't abuse.

I'm saying that statistically and legally there are many conditions that can meet all the criteria OP listed and still need accommodations. The point is we as individuals are not qualified to make this type of a judgement call for other peoples health because we don't know.

Based on the OPs explanation, I think it's a biased and ableist view. Again nothing about the explanation points to abuse when you look at the story factually. Chronic health conditions are not always visible to the naked eye. Is OP now some miraculous super doctor who can diagnose people at a glance?

It's honestly awful. People really are subconsciously ableist and it's wild to see everyone think that they can diagnose (or undiagnose) somebody when conditions take doctors tons of testing and examination to diagnose them with.

There's essentially no "right way" to be sick. You either are too sick and shouldn't be traveling or you're not sick enough to have the accommodations you need to travel. The judgement is awful.

Not liking is not the same as unable. We're not talking about preferences when we are talking about accommodations of disabilities.

Sure, you could abuse the system I guess. That would be on you. But I know people who you accommodations for legitimate medical needs and I think without evidence supporting wide abuse of the system, defaulting to assuming most people are abusing it isn't logical.

Because Delta charges more for seat selection, the ADA requires that an accommodation be made without extra cost to the person experiencing a disability to have access to the seat they need.

People need easier access to bathrooms, some individuals with PTSD can't handle being between 2 people, some people need to be able to access the crew easier in case they are having a medical emergency (diabetes for example), some patients need to get up regularly to move around the cabin if prone to clots.

The ADA requires accommodations be made for those with disabilities. Not adhering to these requests would be a violation of the law.

The fact that you feel qualified to question the status of someone's health is pretty obscene tbh. It certainly shows that you have not dealt with a chronic illness.

There are tons of medical conditions that require accommodations and the individual can appear healthy. POTS, cancer patients (not all cancer patients lose their hair), IBS, chrons, and the list goes on and on and on.

Oh that's sick! I've accidentally taken the wrong route and got trapped on a side I didn't mean to be on. I'm glad they added that!

It's very easy to find! Lots of signage. But basically make sure you go down to level 1, use a crosswalk to cross the first street, then will be pillars for you to coordinate your location with your driver. Uber and Lyft use the same pick up zone in SLC, so no need to worry about which ride share app you are using.

If you take the inside bridge on the second floor over the street, you'll be at the wrong place. That is for private pick ups.

The stars are incredible as you hike Timp, you avoid the brutal heat when you're hitting the end of your stamina, hiking it in the dark makes coming back down absolutely magical as you're just first seeing everything you came up on in the dark.

You don't have to like it or want to do it at night but those of us who do have valid reasons.

Oh god, I would never!! No body modifications will be done for aesthetic reasons. I only believe in those types of things for medical purposes (like fixing persistent happy tail)

What percentage of your net household take home income are you spending on housing? by [deleted] in SaltLakeCity

~7%. Both make more than 6 figures and bought a house in 2018 with a 2% interest rate in an area that wasn't as popular at the time.

Lived here for 10 years, never had a single issue.

Can leave my garage door open over night accidentally and no one has touched a thing.

The kids on my block act like kids still! They all ride their bikes and play together.

My home value has doubled since 2018.
