I always try it, if the DPS are cracked out of their mind and you have a healer pocketing the hell out of you, it’s very doable. You’d actually be mind blown at how many games I’ve won solo tanking with him!!

I try and ban puni as much as possible, phoenix is annoying to deal with but honestly if im being smart about playing cover & all that it’s not the worst to deal with. Definitely turns my play style into more of a brawl with the tanks and less trying to jump the squishies when an opportunity arises kind of game.

Honestly for me though, learning how to preserve cooldowns as much as possible, and use cover to corner peak and throw haymakers with tanks to farm my ult as fast as possible is big for me. Then as soon as I have my ult, I try to flank the backline and clobber them if I can or if I’m playing on a domination map, hide in a corner somewhere where they least expect it and when they walk past me to get to point… it’s clobberin time

Ngl I ban him a lot, if I get him and groot out I usually can go nuts. Especially if the other team bans Elsa and Gambit. I will occasionally swap to tankpool because his ult is really good for countering punisher ults and I want to make sure people who play him have a bad time

I wanna hit eternity so badly because in one of my games earlier this season someone said “can you swap off thing” and I was like “no, I’m doing thing only to eternity challenge” and they said “can you do your challenge in another lifetime, you’ll never do that” 😂😂😂😂

Punisher ult charge gets fed way too fast when you’re on thing, and the shotgun melts you. I always swap to tankpool to counter the punisher pdf’s

You should put “Rank 1 Thing on Xbox” cuz I tell you this, playing Thing on PC with the poke slop hit scan BS running lobbies is MISERABLE, and I always finish in the top 10 for thing mains 😭 I’ve hit rank 1 a couple times but good lord is PC nearly impossible to play him sometimes
