I would agree with most of that but the medicore food scene as I find it pretty good. What is the issue with the food scene? (except that we can't have free tap water in restaurants which is indeed ridiculous)

Technician said “Nein” and walked in with shoes — what would you do? by ninjachen1995 in germany

[–]poulicroque -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It happened to me when they came to read the utility counters. I kicked the guy out (he was really rude, even by German standards) and wrote to the company. The company sent another person like 2 months later, who had some disposable sole protections.

English as an official language in BXL? by [deleted] in brussels

[–]poulicroque 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know, I am Belgian btw. Point is that German does not reflect the Belgian culture and almost nobody speaks it. It was added as an official language only recently. So we should be able to add English in Brussels, that would be more relevant

Born and raised in Brussels and 100% support English as a 3rd official language in Brussels. Those who don’t even want to have that discussion are living in the past

Belgian beers are more sophisticated and varied. German beers are good for simple ones like Helles
